Extravagant tea party

Last week, my little (definitely not so little anymore!) sister Skye celebrated her 22nd birthday! This year, she asked me to throw her a garden tea party for her special day, complete with tea, a lemon raspberry cake, and an assortment of desserts from her favorite French bakery.

A French High Tea Party inspired by The La Belle Epoque “the Beautiful Era”of the late 1800s in France. It was the French gilded age of opulence, luxurious elegance and extravagant home-based entertaining.

back in the spring of 2009, we were commissioned to do a wedding in New Delhi. it was one of those rare and special delights to be cherished mainly because the client was, and still is, a dear dear friend. an all-white affair, we had a splendid adventure donning the momentous occasion in spectacular fabrics, crystals and of course, fabulous blooms both enticing and fragrant.
