MTV Video Music Awards

yhdysvaltalainen musiikin alan gaala

MTV Video Music Awards on Music Televisionin palkintogaala, jossa palkitaan vuoden parhaat musiikkivideot. Tapahtuma järjestettiin ensimmäisen kerran vuonna 1984.

Video Music Awardsien tapahtumapaikka vaihtelee joka vuosi. Vuonna 2005 ne pidettiin Miamissa, American Airlines Arenalla, ja gaalan isäntänä toimi tuolloin laulaja P. Diddy (Sean Combs). Vuonna 2004 gaala pidettiin Los Angelesissa ja 2003 New Yorkissa. Vuonna 2011 tapahtuma järjestettiin Los Angelesin Nokia Theatressa.

Voittajille annettava pysti kuvaa astronauttia kuussa. Palkinto tunnettiin aiemmin nimellä "Moonman" ja vuodesta 2017 asti palkintoa on kutsuttu sukupuolineutraalisti nimellä "Moon Person".

Eniten palkintoja on voittanut Beyoncé, 26 kappaletta. Madonna on toisella sijalla 20 palkinnolla.
