de una persona en inglés con el vocabulario y las
expresiones correctas. Al final, encontrarás dos ejemplos

Edad – Age
Young: joven
Old: viejo
Middle-aged: de edad mediana

Normalmente se usa con el verbo

To Be:
She is Young / Ella es joven
HAVE / HAS :tener
Ojos – Eyes
Small: pequeños I HAVE
Big: grandes YOU HAVE
Black eyes: ojos negros HE HAS
Blue eyes: ojos azules SHE HAS
Brown eyes: ojos color marrón IT HAS
Green eyes: ojos verdes WE HAVE
Hazel eyes: ojos color castaño, pardo o avellana THEY HAVE
Los ojos se pueden describir de dos formas:

La primera es con el verbo Have en inglés americano o con Have Got en inglés británico
Ejemplos:
He has big blue eyes o He has got big blue eyes / Él tiene grandes ojos azules
La segunda forma es con los posesivos (ir a la lección sobre adjetivos posesivos) + el verbo To Be (AM, IS,

ARE) Ejemplos:
His eyes are small and green / Sus ojos son pequeños y verdes

MERCURY

Cabello o Pelo – Hair
• Long: largo
• Short: corto
• Shoulder-length: hasta los hombros
• Straight: liso
• Curly: rizado
• Wavy: ondulado
• Blonde: rubio
• Brunette: castaño o marrón
• Red-haired: pelirrojo
• Gray-haired: canoso
Igual que para describir los ojos, tenemos dos formas de describir el cabello en
una descripción de una persona en inglés:
1. Verbo Have (Tener): She has short curly hair / Ella tiene el pelo corto y rizado
2. Posesivo + To Be: Her hair is short and curly / Su cabello es corto y rizado

Altura – Height
• Short: bajo
• Tall: alto
• Medium-height: de estatura o altura media
Personalidad – Personality
Nice: agradable
Funny: gracioso o divertido
Serious: serio
Cuerpo – body
• Thin: delgado
• Slim: esbelto
• Fat: gordo (Es de cierto modo peyorativo)
• Overweight: obeso o con sobrepeso
• Well-built: fornido o corpulento

Para describir la altura, la personalidad y el
cuerpo usamos TO Be:(am, is, are)
• They are medium-height / Son de altura
media
• She is nice and funny / Ella es agradable y
divertido
• He is well-built / Él es fornido
Para describirnos en forma general usamos el
verbo “TO BE” (I am, you are, he is, she is, it is, we
are, they are) con vocabulario como el siguiente:
Tall, small, overweight, fat, slim, young, old, beautiful

(solo para mujeres), pretty (para mujeres y bebés),
handsome, good looking (para hombres), y otros
muchos que en español hacen referencia a lo que
somos.
Ejemplo:
I am tall, fat and young.
I am beautiful, very beautiful.
I can say that I am a beautiful woman.
He's a short man with a beard
My sister is short, slim and young.
She is a young person.
Beatriz is tall with fair hair and blue eyes
HAVE
Para describir aspectos particulares del cuerpo uso el verbo “TO HAVE” (I have, you have, he
has, she has, it has, we have, they have) con vocabulario como el siguiente:
Small eyes, big eyes, blue eyes, green eyes, grey eyes, brown eyes, freckles, a beard, a full beard, a
moustache, a stubbly beard, blond hair, red hair, brown hair, black hair, dyed hair, blond highlights,
short hair, long hair, straight hair, curly hair, curls, hard hair, a square face, a round face, a triangular
face, an oval face, a big nose, a small nose, a long nose, a flat nose, a fine nose, big ears, small ears
