Cold formed steel products backed by the quality of the ESTRELLA brand, a major group of construction sector companies in the Dominican Republic that provides services across the Caribbean region. The products are marketed by Acero ESTRELLA, the leading company in the design, production and erection of steel structures in the Dominican Republic. The companys manufacturing processes are certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).

Su divisin de laminados en fro, North West Industries (NWI), cuenta con una fbrica de 5,906 m bajo techo, equipada con maquinaria de alta tecnologa y capacidad de producir con calidad mundial los productos laminados que demanda el mercado nacional e internacional. Sus estrictos controles de calidad estn certificados bajo el sistema de Gestin Integrado de Calidad, Seguridad y Medio Ambiente: ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 y OHSAS 18001:2007. La lnea de produccin de los materiales laminados en fro que comercializa Acero Estrella se compone de lminas pre-pintadas para techos bajo las marcas de Aluzinc Estrella, Teja Real y Standing Seam. Completan la oferta las lminas de Metaldeck 2AE y 3AE para entrepisos, correas tipo C y Z, planchas translcidas y aislante reflectivo. Como es acero de refuerzo, lIG aligera las cargas muertas, er reduce el peso del acero AS y permite mayor separacin entre apoyos: 3.5 metros. El material G-90 que lo compone, posee alta reflexin de la luz y disminuye las conexiones y conectores de cortante.

It fully adheres to concrete, helping to reduce its volume per area. As it is reinforced steel, it lightens the dead loads and allows separation between supports: 3.5 meters. It is composed of G-90 material, which has a high level of light reflectivity and reduces the total amount of screws and connectors.

Debido a su durabilidad, ofrece un ahorro significativo a largo plazo porque requiere un mnimo o ningn mantenimiento, y resiste a la intemperie con facilidad. El techado con Standing Seam se compone de paneles de metal, cada uno con dos juntas verticales que se sellan entre s, evitando que la humedad y el agua se acumulen en la superficie de su techo y se produzcan filtraciones.
