Introduccin
Los apcrifos
El origen de la palabra apcrifo proviene del griego y se refiere
a algo oculto, misterioso, escondido. De aqu que el trmino "apcrifo" se
utilice normalmente en referencia a libros sagrados de autores desconocidos,
pero sobre todo a textos para-bblicos que no han sido considerados como
textos bblicos cannicos.
Hay toda una serie de controversias en torno a los diferentes grupos
confesionales en el seno la tradicin judeocristiana, dado que cada uno entre
los principales grupos ha venido planteando a travs de los siglos algunas
importantes diferencias con respecto al canon de los grupos restantes, siendo
reservado el trmino "apcrifo" para distintos grupos de textos y de escritos
no incluidos en su propia versin del canon bblico, sin menoscabo de que
se encuentren en el canon de otros grupos judos o cristianos distintos.
Los textos han logrado sobrevivir hasta la actualidad por el inters
suscitado tanto por su origen y espritu como por su propsito. Su valor se
centra en la informacin que ofrecen sobre la historia del cristianismo
durante los primeros siglos de su existencia y sobre el impacto y variedad de
las circunstancias que mediaron en el desarrollo del judasmo, en el
advenimiento de Jess y en la difusin del cristianismo a travs de los siglos
I-III. Pero adems ofrecen curiosas visiones sobre los acontecimientos
ocurridos y sobre la manera de pensar y actuar del mundo antiguo.
La importantsima influencia que esta literatura contina ejerciendo en la
vida religiosa y cultural es un argumento convincente para entender la
supervivencia de los textos apcrifos a travs de los siglos. Muchos textos

civilizaciones mesopotmicas que pasaron por esta tierra: los sumerios, los
nabateos, griegos, persas, romanos, arameos, bizantinos etc.
Por otro lado, la importancia de Egipto radica en su calidad de receptor,
conservador y divulgador de la literatura apcrifa, quiz por su proximidad
con Palestina y por el legado heredado de la poca faranica. Cabe
mencionar adems, que Egipto era un pas donde la tradicin por la cultura
y por la conservacin de libros y manuscritos siempre haba existido.
Ejemplo de ello ha sido el papel tan importante que jug la antigua
Biblioteca de Alejandra, el primer centro de investigacin del mundo y la
biblioteca ms grande de su poca.

El cristianismo oriental
Jess naci en una gruta de la aldea de Beln cerca de Jerusaln, por tanto
podemos decir sin miedo a equivocarnos que el cristianismo germin en
Oriente Medio, se expandi a travs de las sociedades y zonas pobladas
mayoritariamente por rabes y creci dentro de estas sociedades para luego
empezar a extenderse en sus primeros siglos por el resto del mundo.
Debemos recordar que las iglesias cristianas orientales se desarrollaron
sumidas en ambientes culturales y lingsticos diferentes y heterogneos. El
Oriente Cristiano no queda restringido a la demarcacin de cada iglesia en
particular, sino que engloba todo el territorio al que se liga su desarrollo
histrico: desde el Mediterrneo por el oeste, hasta China por el este y desde
Etiopa del sur, hasta el Cucaso al norte, sin dejar de lado las relaciones
que estas iglesias mantuvieron con Occidente.
Las comunidades cristianas actuales que viven en el Oriente Medio son el
resultado de la continuidad histrica del nacimiento y posterior
establecimiento del cristianismo en estas tierras hace 2000 aos, cuando
incluso fueron recorridas por el mismo Jess. La existencia

referencia principal, el Corn, que difiere que la culpa no era slo de Eva,
por eso la mayora de los versos fueron dirigidos a Adn. Los dos se
llevaron la seduccin juntos y se los castig juntos, de hecho, algunos
versos del Corn se referan a Adn solo por reprensin. Dios cre a Adn
de todos los elementos de la tierra, y se caracteriza por la diversidad y la
capacidad de cambiar y de no vincularse de algn sitio o a algo, mientras
que cre a la mujer de la costilla de Adn, por lo cual ella pertenece a su
marido y lo vea su mundo, y se especializa en los detalles de su vida, sin
tener la misma visin holstica de los hombres.
En textos de la sunna y en los qia al-anbiy se dice que Adn fue
creado en la India, y Eva en iddah, adems se cuenta que Adn ha estado
buscando a Eva hasta que se encontraron en el Monte Arafat, y es curioso
que este monte es ms acercado a iddah y demasiado lejos de la India. Es
obvio que, Adn tuvo que esforzarse en la bsqueda de Eva, y desde aquel
tiempo empez la primera historia de amor en la humanidad, segn estas
tradiciones.
El Corn habla de la creacin de Adn en mltiples ocasiones, Allh cre
a Adn del barro y le suspir la vida en l con el suspiro de su espritu, que
est hecho de luz pura:

Y ense a Adn todos los nombres (de los seres creados)
Sura de La Vaca, aleya n31.
De acuerdo al libro sagrado hind del Rig Veda,14 cuentan que fue en este
pas donde fue creado el primer varn, que fue llamado como Adimo, su
significado sera el engendrado y su mujer llevara el nombre de Pocriti, que
significa vida. Debido a la historia de Adn y Eva, los protagonistas y los
hermosos jardines se convirtieron en smbolos de una existencia paradisaca.
Muchos textos literarios se basan en la historia del Jardn del Edn, y los
personajes de la leyenda fueron figuras primordiales en muchas obras
literarias en lenguas y culturas diferentes, o sino mencionados.
En el Evangelio de Felipe15, que no es propiamente un evangelio, sino un
escrito gnstico de orientacin valentiniana que forma parte de los
denominados evangelios apcrifos y que fue encontrado por arquelogos en
1945 en Egipto.
Se trata de un documento muy antiguo y la seccin de la polmica es una
seccin particularmente daada por el tiempo. Est en relacin con la cada

Adn y Eva pecan por comer de la fruta del rbol de la sabidura, rbol
del que Dios les haba prohibido comer desde un principio, y son stos los
responsables del destierro del paraso. El pensamiento de Agustn opina que
cada uno de los personajes del episodio de la Tentacin (Adn, Eva y la
Serpiente) realiza una funcin alegrica determinada: la serpiente representa
los sentidos, Eva la scientia (ciencia) y Adn la sapientia (sabidura).
Con esta interpretacin San Agustn se enfrentaba a la interpretacin de
Philo que tambin tuvo cierta vigencia durante el medievo y, depende de la
cual, Eva representa los sentidos, y esto era inadmisible para San Agustn.
Adn y Eva al querer igualarse a Dios, pecan, y el pecado de todos los
hombres, desde entonces, es heredado de ellos, apareciendo desde la cada
al mundo terrenal, la historia y el tiempo, y con esto explica Agustn su
opinin sobre el origen del mal en el mundo (el pecado original). San
Agustn dijo sobre el pecado de Adn y Eva:
el orgullo fue el comienzo de todos los males por lo cual se arruin la raza
humana.
En las Etimologas de San Isidoro de Sevilla son adems de una
valiossima fuente de informacin, un espectculo extraordinario de pasin
por el valor de los nombres. Para san Isidoro no hay palabras huecas: todas
estn cargadas de significado.
En el captulo Etimologa de los nombres con presagio,17 nos ofrece un
anlisis exhaustivo de los nombres bblicos, recopilando las etimologas que
aparecen en la misma Biblia respecto a los grandes nombres, y aportando

El Diario de Adn y Eva (2010) es el ttulo de una novela escrita por Nizr
Dandash y Nirmn al-ans, cuyo punto de vista, es que la biografa de
Adn y Eva est viva en cada uno de nosotros, a pesar de nuestra percepcin
de que la civilizacin nos aleja de nuestros principios. Las acciones de la
novela giran en torno a la historia de Adn y Eva despus de su expulsin
del Paraso, incluye imaginacin del primer periodo humano, y de las
circunstancias que fueran la razn por la creacin de los modos de la vida,
los hbitos de la humanidad, y las costumbres. Expone diversos aspectos
sobre el conflicto entre el bien y el mal, y el papel de los seres "irracionales"
en el desarrollo de la educacin del homo sapiens y la cognitivos de la
cultura.
Un aspecto interesante en la novela, es que los escritores de acuerdo con
todos los libros sagrados, que Adn y Eva bajaron a la tierra por el pecado
que hicieron, y tambin para poblar la tierra, pero Adn tena otra tarea, es

impactar la gente que vivan antes de l "que son las tribus de salvajes" y
hacerles puros y creyentes, segn los autores, que Adn estaba en esta tierra
antes, y Dios se lo llev para purificarle y luego le devolvi a la misma
tierra para purificar sus habitantes salvajes:

En el primer da del primer mes del primer ao de la historia humana en
esta tierra, lleg Adn y su esposa Eva al mundo, exiliados del paraso ideal
y purificado, llevando en sus hombros el censo del pecado.
Finalmente, la presencia del tema en la teologa cristiana contempornea
tambin se deja sentir con reiterada frecuencia. As, el reciente Papa copto
fallecido, Shenouda III, escribi una obra denominada Adn y Eva, que
fue publicada en el ao 1980. El contenido de este libro no es un estudio del
Antiguo Testamento, sino, son meditaciones espirituales que ofrecen un
enfoque espiritual, proporcionan informaciones sobre los personajes de la
biblia, que tienen la misma naturaleza nuestra, se asustan, se aman, se
desean etc. y sobre Adn y Eva fueron muy sencillos e inocentes, no
conocan la maldad en absoluto, conocan solamente el bien, por eso no
esperaban que la serpiente les iba a mentir y engaar. Por consiguiente,
habla de sus pecados (son 27 segn el libro), y al final vienen los resultados
de estos pecados, adems de la expulsin, Dios les castig con la muerte, el
dolor y la vergenza.

El manuscrito de la edicin
El manuscrito objeto de la presente edicin forma parte del Codex 19 de la
Coleccin Minagana que se conserva en Selly Oak, Universidad de
Birmingham.26 Se trata de un codex de 189 pginas, con unas medidas de
218 x 144 mm, con diecisis lneas por pgina.
El Cdice incluye las siguientes tres obras:

2. Visin de Gregorio sobre la creacin (fols. 20b-36a).

Hay casos, adems, en los que el copista reproduce un mismo nombre de
tres formas distintas a partir, en principio, de desvos de tipo
morfofonolgico, como es el caso de Malkidq, que tambin aparece
realizado como Malidq y Malimdq (cf. 155a, 157b, 158a, 159a),
pero que es fruto, evidentemente, de un error en la prctica copista en la que

El alfono // en posicin inicial
Mientras que en rabe clsico el fonema // es estable en todas las
posiciones, en neorabe slo se pronuncia en posicin inicial, pese a que en
esta posicin haya perdido ya en poca temprana su funcin fonemtica
independiente12, rasgo evidente al ser representada // como alif tanto en
posicin inicial, medial como final, y por /w/ o /y/ en posicin medial, o
libre de asiento en cualquier posicin. En este manuscrito la ausencia de //
tiene lugar en cualquier posicin: hamzah inicial, seguida de sukn,
intervoclica y final, lo cual es sntoma de que la pausa articulatoria de //
no es perceptible en el registro empleado por el escriba, lo cual es reflejo de
la pronunciacin verncula de ste. A continuacin siguen ejemplos de ello:

El lxico rabe del que se sirven los cristianos, adems de las palabras
procedentes del medio islmico, ofrece un bondadoso caudal de trminos y
conceptos cuyo origen hay que remontar, en cada caso, a la lengua
empleada tanto a nivel coloquial como literario por cada comunidad antes, e
incluso despus, de que el rabe se erigiese en la lingua franca de quienes
vivieron en el seno del estado rabe islmico23.
En el manuscrito objeto de nuestro estudio nos encontramos ante un
texto cuyo substrato lingstico es doble, el copto24 y el griego, lo que
deviene consecuentemente en el uso de coptismos, como por ejemplo el
caso de los coptismos barmdah (115b/148b) y baans (148b) o los
grecismos amt (sg. amah, 117a), del griego , y fanasa
