The graphics are very crisp and display well. There is a chip on the lower back 1\" x 3/8\", chip bottom edge front 3/8\" x 1/2\", and 2 small inner rim chips as shown in the photos. "Antique Weir large canning crock circa early 1900s. This antique stoneware crock features the original handle and stoneware lid marked \"The Weir, Pat March 1st 92 April 16 1901\". It is heavy, weighing approximately 17 pounds and measures 16\" tall x 11.5 in diameter. This canning crock would have been used to preserve fruits and foods and they were generally stored in a root cellar. This was an essential piece of kitchenware in the 1800 and early 1900s to help ensure there was food during the winter months.
