- Random drawing/picture grabbed from an unreliable angelfire page. Any properly attributed image of this man will be in the public domain, and there are many books (and other reliable sources online and offline) that contain images of this man. No point in picking the first image on a google image search and using. Damiens.rf 01:34, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - The so-called "unreliable" page posted the source from where it obtained the image which is the following: "Retrato tomado de: Puertorriqueños Ilustres. Editorial Cordillera, Inc., 1994. Folleto auspiciado por Island Finance Corporation." Thereby providing it's original source, which happens to from a "book". Tony the Marine (talk) 04:19, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CV of course is copyvio which might also apply. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dougweller (talk • contribs) 12:58, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Siouxsie New Sounds new styles.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) - uploaded by Adrift* (notify | contribs).
- image is a magazine cover but is not being used to illustrate discussion of the magazine. It is being used in Goth subculture and 1980s in fashion to discuss the style of the person pictured. Rossrs (talk) 10:05, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. The image is very useful to illustrate the gothic fashions described in both Goth subculture and 1980s in fashion. There are pitifully few images available to adequately show the actual clothing worn by the original goths of the 1980s. This image of Siouxsie is very useful to Wikipedia, and thus should be kept.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 08:49, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- There are images of Siouxsie in Commons. Admittedly not great images. The image template used for this image includes the phrase "to illustrate the publication of the issue of the magazine in question", which is not how this image is being used in either article. The publication isn't discussed. WP:Non free content says under the heading of "unacceptable use". "A rose, cropped from a record album, to illustrate an article on roses." This is a magazine cover, but the point is the same. In this case Siouxsie is the rose. In the sections using this image in both Goth subculture and 1980s in fashion, Siouxsie Sioux is not even mentioned. She is mentioned elsewhere in each article, but it's no more than a mention and in 1980s in fashion there is a free image of her in the image gallery. Rossrs (talk) 14:40, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- This picture is a promotional picture and the current FUR being employed merely states...I am not affiliated with Epic Records in anyway, and permission has been given to us to use her images for promotional usage for her upcoming overseas performance in Singapore....which seems rather vague to me as it's not clear who "us" is. This could be a copyright violation. There is also a free alternative that could be used instead. --Remy Suen (talk) 13:36, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- File:F-Zero Conference in July 2003.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs) - uploaded by FullMetal Falcon (notify | contribs).
- The rationale for using this non-free content is that it will "describe the relationship between Nintendo and Sega during their first project collaboration". That relationship could be, and is, described extensively at F-Zero GX#Collaboration and relationship so that this image is not merely replaceable by text but has already been replaced and made redundant. This rationale seems to fail WP:NFCC#1 and probably also WP:NFCC#8. Angus McLellan (Talk) 14:23, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Rationale claims that the image cannot be replaced but where used, in Fallen Earth#Factions, the wheel system shown is described in the article text. The image appears then not to meet WP:NFCC#1 (replaceable) and perhaps not WP:NFCC#8 (significance) either. Angus McLellan (Talk) 15:07, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - The text of the article does not specify the entirety of the information depicted in the image, particularly specific factional relationships. For this reason, deleting this image would go against WP:NFCC#1 as well as WP:NFCC#8. If the user insists on deleting this image, the user would be wise to first ensure that the detail in the wheel is accurately transcribed in the article. Once this is done in accordance with WP guidelines, I will advocate the deletion of this image along with the user. Until then, this image should be preserved on Wikipedia. BabyJonas (talk) 00:21, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- This non-free file is used to illustrate the Galaxy 18 article. It doesn't seem likely that this image is adding to the reader's understanding or that its absence would detract from that understanding. If so, it doesn't meet WP:NFCC#8. Angus McLellan (Talk) 23:32, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- A map of a mall might possibly add something to the reader's understanding, but removing it wouldn't hurt. Possibly also replaceable. Angus McLellan (Talk) 23:42, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- An industrial structure in France has no freedom of panorama issues (only for "for buildings that pass the threshold of originality" and this surely doesn't). Surely replaceable so does not meet WP:NFCC#1. It's also hard to see how this passes WP:NFCC#8. Angus McLellan (Talk) 23:53, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Unfree image does not meet Wikipedia:NFCC#8, as it can't be distinguished from any other Sea Hawk taking off from an aircraft carrier. Furthermore, both Sea Hawk and INS Vikrant, the subjects of the image, are linked to aid in readers comprehension of the subject. Uploader's fair use rationale: depicts … the scale, magnitude, and efforts of the Indian Navy doesn't seem very accurate either (one plane taking off?). — Bility (talk) 00:35, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
