National Institute of General Medical Sciences: Article consisted almost entirely of copyvio from various locations on the organisation's own website (e.g. [1]) until I made mass removals a short while ago. The recent COI edit request on the article talkpage also includes extensive copyvio. It seems there has been a lot of COI editing on the article for many years. Revdel requested (indeed it may even be necessary to delete the whole article?) Axad12 (talk) 18:12, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- In general, works of the US government (like the website you linked to) are in the public domain. We can copy text from them with impunity. Our guideine on plagiarism counsels adding an attribution template like {{Include-NIH}} or {{Free-content attribution}} to the references section for transparency, but it's not a legal/copyright issue either way.
