Insufficiently notable. CoolieCoolster (talk) 23:37, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

DeleteWeak Keep My searching did find an interview but that doesn't help notability. The article sources provide some depth but that all seems to be self sourced like this. Fails WP:COMPOSER. The awards are notable and perhaps well known. Which may be enough to satisfy WP:ANYBIO. Gab4gab (talk) 16:47, 4 February 2017 (UTC)- Comment He did win the Austrian State Prize for Music in 2004. I've added the ref for that to the article. He also won the Theodor Körner Prize in 2004, but I can't find an online reference for that from the official site because it only has archives back to 2008. But these would indicate some notability. Voceditenore (talk) 11:59, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- Is he still an active composer? If not, I fail to see the point in keeping an article on a nominally notable Austrian composer from the past. Boomer VialHolla! We gonna ball 09:40, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- Notability is not temporary. Voceditenore (talk) 16:24, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

- Keep – A listing at the Music Information Center Austria (here) shows encyclopedic relevance. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 13:24, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- Keep – just added some references to the article. Being a) head of the composition department of Europe's largest music university and b) Vice president of Austria's ISCM section should add some insights regarding relevance. AthanasiusKircher (talk) 08:30, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

- Keep per WP:CREATIVE and Voceditenore. Let's assume the article is not misleading (as the other info seems to be correct) and he won both prizes. These appear to be/are among the highest such Austrian national awards in Kretz's field that he could win. But even just the Austrian State Prize for Music only would suffice, as a significant Austrian music award. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 18:54, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- Keep -- Austrian State Prize is sufficient claim to notability under ANYBIO1, which is now sourced. I'm seeing some results in Google books link. K.e.coffman (talk) 19:45, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- Keep: Now suitable sourced. Prizes are enough to indicate notability. TheMagikCow (talk) 15:32, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- Keep: Needs clean-up but otherwise meets WP:CREATIVE more generally WP:ANYBIO — Iadmc♫talk 19:30, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- Keep per WP:CREATIVE, and, as said by other editors above, Austrian State Prize is plenty notable enough. 69.165.196.103 (talk) 03:53, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
