[edit]Hello, I'm Qwrk. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to List of climbers and mountaineers because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Absolutely not noteworthy to list Everest summiteer number 6166. It's the second time today you add this person, so let me be fair and give you a grade #1 warning. Qwrk (talk) 20:12, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Ruba.atallah
- I work with the best statisticians in mountaineering history and I hope you understand we can't just list every single mountaineer that summited Everest. The number of 6166 was a rough estimate as we're at 6500+ now and still counting. On that very page we can't accept "redlinked" entries, i.e. links that lead to non-existing pages. Solve that problem first - a full biography - and feel free to come try again. Thanks for getting back to me though. [And please add comment to the bottom of the page.]

DYK
[edit]Hi my friend, I asked someone to nominate Mostafa Salameh for Did You Know? You can see the nomination here. It means that before too long he will appear on the Main Page. Best, Philg88 ♦talk 09:18, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- First it means that there will be a discussion, perhaps including requests for changes to the article. I reworded one sentence that was too close to the source, for example. No source is needed in the lead, please move it to where it fits in the body. Great personality! Thank you for the article! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:35, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Hi Philg88 ♦talk your continuous support is highly appreciated. The page looks much better now. Thank you Gerda Arendtfor your kind intervention. I hope the page will make it soon to the main page. Best regards to all Ruba.atallah (talk) 21:36, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
DYK for Mostafa Salameh
[edit]On 19 October 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mostafa Salameh, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Mostafa Salameh (pictured) rang his partner, his parents, and the King of Jordan via satellite phone from Mount Everest? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mostafa Salameh. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |
