Control copyright icon Hello Paradoxodarap! Your additions to Abhishek Agarwal Arts have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 01:59, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Adivi Sesh. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Get WP:CONSENSUS in the talk page per WP:BRD. Also you using this userID and IP simultaneously is sock-puppetry and is ban-able. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:38, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

- Thanks for the advice, Fylindfotberserk; I wasn't aware of "edit-war" until now. I have been using only one account from various locations, Not sure what is leading/indicating towards sock-puppetry as I am only using this one and only account. I will use the Talk page to clear out the issue with editors with the data/insights that I believe are right/true and leave it upto another administrator to solve the issue. Thanks for taking time and sharing these insights. bɑʁɑqoxodaraP (talk) 12:07, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tetramind, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Production. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:23, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What is the reason for the Article space reverts?

[edit]

You're welcome to remove the alerts I made on your talk page, but reverting edits I made on articles without explanation and against policy (removing AfD notice before the discussion is closed) is not correct. I am happy to chat directly. I can imagine it's related to my nomination of Tetramind for deletion, an article you started. ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 15:47, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • MarcGarver, Hey I am sorry I didnt realize it until it was too late, I was going through your profile after you have tagged Tetramind for deletion. I Apologize to you for what I did, but please allow my to share my POV, When I visited your profile, I saw a lot of articles being edited mere seconds away from each other and each contribution had a [vandalism] button next to it, this is probably the first time i saw such button on a user profile. I did click on a few of those, by then I realized what it might result it. I am sorry if that may have felt retaliatory effort, it was my lack of awareness. and coming back to Tetramind, or any other submissions from my end, I would be very happy to re-write an article as many times as needed or even deleted from Wikipedia. I would not take it personally, except for my loss of time. However to stop this here, I am moving Tetramind to a draft and will resubmit via AfC once I believe its ready. Thank you, I can only hope for you to understand. bɑʁɑqoxodaraP (talk) 09:01, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Razesh Danda a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Draft:Razesh Danda. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Replaceable non-free use File:Razesh Danda.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Razesh Danda.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 07:31, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Tetramind requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tetramind. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Ritesh-rana-1400311.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Ritesh-rana-1400311.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Johnj1995 (talk) 00:02, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:01, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Harshavardhan Rameshwar.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation of https://twitter.com/rameemusic and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Nice work!

[edit]

I appreciate your contributions here. While it is best to create articles after they have directed more than one film, I feel Vidyadhar Kagita satisfies Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Creative_professionals #3 The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews, or of an independent and notable work DareshMohan (talk) 00:41, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for kind words DareshMohan, I understand your advice and I will keep that in mind. bɑʁɑqoxodaraP (talk) 06:26, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It has come to light that many directors are more notable with more films with wiki links although some editors are on the fence about it. I will discuss it at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film/Indian_cinema_task_force#Does one film guarantee notability?. DareshMohan (talk) 07:04, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Laxman Meesala moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Laxman Meesala. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boleyn (talk) 15:09, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Gaami First look poster with Release data.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Gaami First look poster with Release data.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 14:37, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May 2024

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give List of Hindi films of 2025 a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Category:List of Hindi films of 2025.

Thank you. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 10:33, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Double Engine Release poster.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

BOVINEBOY2008 01:21, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone and fixed it up. I replaced the wrong license with the correct non-free license and added a non-free image rationale 122.104.180.11 (talk) 03:47, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Paradoxodarap. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page SprintRay, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 14:54, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, User:Fancy Refrigerator, I dont fully understand what you are talking about, but I will surely go through your suggestions and work in accordance with WP Content policies. Thanks for the note, Much appreciate. bɑʁɑqoxodaraP (talk) 20:50, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Paradoxodarap. Conflict of interest refers to any external relationship (outside of Wikipedia that is) you have with the person or group you are writing about. Are you in any way affiliated with SprintRay? If so, you have a conflict of interest. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 13:52, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Fancy Refrigerator, Thanks for explaining the COI guidelines. Just to clarify, I’m not connected to SprintRay in any way, nor am I paid by them. My main edits are usually about Indian cinema (you can see on my user page). I got interested in the 3D printing field recently, so I tried to create an article for SprintRay (as i believe it meets the notability guildelines for organization) out of curiosity about the tech. However, I think I am still making mistakes and If there’s anything specific you think should be adjusted, I’m open to feedback. Thanks again for the guidance! bɑʁɑqoxodaraP (talk) 16:39, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Even after revision, I am not confident that the article in its state meets the guideline on neutral point of view, especially with the way it describes the company’s partnership and products. I have moved it to draftspace, where you can continue to work on it. The company may be notable, but the page needs rework to conform to Wikipedia’s guidelines. Thanks. Fancy Refrigerator (talk) 17:38, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure! Ill do that! Thanks again! bɑʁɑqoxodaraP (talk) 18:01, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add a Fact survey and thank you

[edit]

Thank you for testing out the Add A Fact browser extension! This extension was developed as an experiment by the Future Audiences team at the Wikimedia Foundation to learn about new ways of contributing to Wikipedia from outside of our website/apps.

We are planning to wrap up this experiment this December, sunsetting the extension and publishing our findings on-wiki. We’d like to invite you to take part in an exit survey to tell us more about your experience of trying out the extension, and to share any ideas you have about how to support new ways of contributing to Wikipedia. The survey is anonymous (see the survey privacy statement) and should take about 10–15 minutes to complete.

You can take the Goole Forms survey here.

Kind regards, MPinchuk (WMF)
