Alternative account

[edit]

I have another account originally created some years ago for use at Wikimedia Commons. That account is linked to my real name for photo credits, so in order to protect my privacy I have created this alternative account for everyday use at Wikipedia, in accordance with WP:VALIDALT. To preserve the anonymity of this alt account, I use my original account when adding my own photos to Wikipedia articles, and when making related edits to those same articles or to other articles on similar topics. For other Wikipedia editing I generally use this account. My interests are eclectic, but I am not a very frequent editor, and I do not normally edit articles on controversial topics (recent history and politics, biographies of living persons, etc.) with either account. I make this disclosure to affirm that I am familiar with Wikipedia policies concerning sockpuppetry and that I am not using this alternative account to avoid blocks or for any other nefarious purpose.

About my user name

[edit]

"Crawdad Blues" is the name of a recording made in September 1923 for OKeh records by Bennie Moten and his Kansas City Orchestra. I have no other affiliation with crawdads, and no conflict of interest that would prevent me from writing impartially about crustaceans in general.
