The result of the move request was: moved. There was some opposition here, but it didn't make it to the point of being unable to discern a consensus. Overall, the argument that the proposed title has greater clarity and is more descriptive of the list came out as the strongest position both in terms of how many people supported it and in terms of being built on stronger underlying principles. The consistency argument is noted, but 'consistency' is a complicated thing, and both arguments for and against the move were based in consistency, ultimately not setting that out as an argument against. Note that the top of the article explains its only for Easter related films, not films with Easter vaguely in them since that wouldn't be a valid list. This is a list of films that have something to do with Easter or have Easter as a significant part of them. For Easter specials of regular TV shows, see the list of Easter television specials. For films about the Biblical Easter see List of films based on the Bible.DreamFocus21:00, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The start of the article explains things perfectly. This is a list of films that have something to do with Easter or have Easter as a significant part of them. For Easter specials of regular TV shows, see the list of Easter television specials. For films about the Biblical Easter see List of films based on the Bible. We don't list films that happened around the time of the Easter holiday but had nothing to do with it. DreamFocus19:08, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Just because they are set around Easter doesn't mean that they are Easter films or films dealing with the Biblical story. This is a completely backwards suggestion. --Nicholas0 (talk) 20:50, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Nicholas0: There is nothing on the list containing films that were just set around Easter. Everything is about the Easter bunny and whatnot. All Biblical Easter films are in a different list article. DreamFocus20:58, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support. There are gory Holy Week films, set at the first resurrection, which are very different from Easter films set in modern life and filled with bunnies, strolls on Fifth Avenue, and painted egg hunts. Bearian (talk) 21:01, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support I take Erik's point in regards to counter-examples such as Films set around Thanksgiving, but I believe imposing a temporal criteria on the list is unnecessarily restrictive, and potentially misleading. It seems to me the list was given its current title with the explicit intent to admit biblical films, but this is no longer a factor. Splitting the list between films focusing on the biblical Easter and films that are thematically linked to the festival of Easter seems like a natural division to me, and to some extent this is already reflected at categorization level: Category:Films about Easter.
