 de la Comunidad de Madrid, de acuerdo con el modelo oficial publicado. El campo de gules representa a Castilla y los dos castillos a las dos comunidades autónomas vecinas de Castilla y León y Castilla-La Mancha, entre las que la Comunidad de Madrid quiere servir de lugar de encuentro. Las siete estrellas son por la constelación de la Osa Mayor y constituyen un símbolo que ha sido tomado del antiguo Concejo de Madrid. Y, por último, la corona real recuerda que Madrid es Villa y Corte, ya desde 1561.

Object history

Esta no es la versión oficial principal del escudo de armas de la Comunidad de Madrid, sino sólo un modelo alternativo al más simplificado, adaptando así este último para que pueda ser utilizado con fines protocolarios e institucionales.
