Information icon Hello, I'm Sowlos. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Greece seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Per WP:Naming conventions (Macedonia), the northern Republic of Macadonia should not be called "Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" or "FYROM".  —Sowlos  12:28, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Greece shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Warning

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please do not edit-war over the terminology used to refer to Macedonia, as you did at Greece. Wikipedia editors have developed a binding consensus guideline on how to refer to the country, outlined at WP:NCMAC. This is based on the policy of using the most common name generally used in English to refer a country, and/or the name that a country chooses to use for itself, no matter if these names are politically acceptable to third parties (see the naming-conflict guideline). The Arbitration Committee has decided that all edits affecting the Macedonia naming issue are subject to a one-revert restriction: no editor is allowed to undo another editor's action more than once within 24 hours. In cases covered by the binding guideline, editors restoring the consensus version are not subject to this restriction.

Thanks! ~~~~

In a 2007 arbitration case, administrators were given the power to impose discretionary sanctions on any user editing Balkans-related articles in a disruptive way. If you engage in further inappropriate behaviour in this area, you may be placed under sanctions including blocks, a revert limitation or an article/topic ban. Thank you.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used mainly for trolling, disruption or harassment. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  De728631 (talk) 16:31, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Request reason:

i think you should unblock me and correct the information on greece's page since my info is correct and yours isn't. i corrected the proper internationally recognized name of this country and you keep reverting the article to the old nationalistic claim of skopje. this makes me think there are darker motives behind your reaction and proves that wikipedia is nothing more than a collection of ignorant idiots motivated by other means than proper knowledge and objectivity. regardless of your response i will create a different account under a different dynamic ip and i will continue to correct the mistakes you post to the whole world. have a nice day wallowing in your ignorance and your stupidity.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=i think you should unblock me and correct the information on greece's page since my info is correct and yours isn't. i corrected the proper internationally recognized name of this country and you keep reverting the article to the old nationalistic claim of skopje. this makes me think there are darker motives behind your reaction and proves that wikipedia is nothing more than a collection of ignorant idiots motivated by other means than proper knowledge and objectivity. regardless of your response i will create a different account under a different dynamic ip and i will continue to correct the mistakes you post to the whole world. have a nice day wallowing in your ignorance and your stupidity. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=i think you should unblock me and correct the information on greece's page since my info is correct and yours isn't. i corrected the proper internationally recognized name of this country and you keep reverting the article to the old nationalistic claim of skopje. this makes me think there are darker motives behind your reaction and proves that wikipedia is nothing more than a collection of ignorant idiots motivated by other means than proper knowledge and objectivity. regardless of your response i will create a different account under a different dynamic ip and i will continue to correct the mistakes you post to the whole world. have a nice day wallowing in your ignorance and your stupidity. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=i think you should unblock me and correct the information on greece's page since my info is correct and yours isn't. i corrected the proper internationally recognized name of this country and you keep reverting the article to the old nationalistic claim of skopje. this makes me think there are darker motives behind your reaction and proves that wikipedia is nothing more than a collection of ignorant idiots motivated by other means than proper knowledge and objectivity. regardless of your response i will create a different account under a different dynamic ip and i will continue to correct the mistakes you post to the whole world. have a nice day wallowing in your ignorance and your stupidity. |accept = accept reason here ~~~~}}
