Welcome!
Hi Telecineguy, and let me echo the welcome to Wikipedia! I notice you've made a lot of edits to television and videotape-related articles, and I just thought I should mention WP:JARGON (ie, just remember Wikipedia is for a general audience) and WP:CAPS (Wikipedia capitalization), though by the looks of your most recent edits, you might have read these already!
As someone who obviously knows something about the tech side of things, I'd be interested on your take on two articles I started, An Evening with Fred Astaire and The Edsel Show, if you can add anything to them. If, for example, you know anything about the technical issues regarding 405-line television (and BBC One, which contains the early history of the BBC Television Service), please add it. Of course, there are lots of other articles - just follow the links or check the categories at the bottom to find those that are related.
I hope you enjoy your time here on Wikipedia! Regards, ProhibitOnions (T) 22:52, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply, I will try to keep an eye on the cases and links. Telecine Guy

- About the IVC article, no problem, my pleasure. I suggested making a redirect previously for IVC 2" helical to IVC's main article, due to the former article (IVC 2 inch Helical scan) being a red link at the time, not being writen. Thanks for doing so, and thanks also for the info you added to the 1" type B videotape article too, interesting that there were so many modifications of that format....! :) About the VK format, I could write up an article for that as well, but you can too if you feel inclined to do so... misternuvistor 00:24, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Seth Ward (Whitewater), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Santa Monica Air Line
Thanks much for the route information. In July you added stops and mile markers to the Santa Monica Air Line page, but did not indicate where this was from. Since it would make sense to add this to the exisiting route side bar instead of the main article—especially since they now conflict, I am happy to do this as it can be tricky. However I wonder if you can tell me where you're getting the information so I can reference properly? Thanks. Lexlex (talk) 08:18, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Governors and secularization in Alta California
Thanks for the new article on the Mexican Secularization Act of 1833. It's an important subject deserving of its own article. A couple of points for reference:
- There's a section on Secularization in the article Spanish missions in California#Secularization. That section has been thoroughly checked and sourced, so check to make sure information in your article agrees.
- There's no connection between mission secularization and appointment of Mexican governors. All Spanish and Mexican Alta California governors were appointed until Alvarado's revolt in 1836. After that unrest, however, Alvarado himself was appointed to be governor.
It's good to have another editor with an interest in early California history. Welcome! WCCasey (talk) 23:50, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia from the Anatomy Wikiproject!
Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Anatomy! We're a group of editors who strive to improve the quality of anatomy articles here on Wikipedia. One of our members has noticed that you are involved in editing anatomy articles; it's great to have a new interested editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing wikipedia articles are:
- Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on the WikiProject Anatomy talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
- You will make a big difference to the quality of information by adding reliable sources. Sourcing anatomy articles is essential and makes a big difference to the quality of articles. And, while you're at it, why not use a book to source information, which can source multiple articles at once!
- We try and use a standard way of arranging the content in each article. That layout is here. These headings let us have a standard way of presenting the information in anatomical articles, indicate what information may have been forgotten, and save angst when trying to decide how to organise an article. That said, this might not suit every article. If in doubt, be bold!
- We write for a general audience. Every reader should be able to understand anatomical articles, so when possible please write in a simple form—most readers do not understand anatomical jargon. See this essay for more details.
Feel free to contact us on the WikiProject Anatomy talk page if you have any problems, or wish to join us. I wish you all the best on your wiki-voyages! --Tom (LT) (talk) 07:56, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

Featuring your work on Wikipedia's front page: DYKs
Thank you for your recent articles, including SS Cedar Rapids Victory , which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Wikipedia's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list at T:TDYK. Leon Russell albums
Hi – thanks for creating new articles for these albums, but I just wanted to make you aware that AllMusic reviews and ratings from users are not acceptable for Wikipedia sources (the reviews must come from professional journalists), and Discogs and Russell's official website are not valid as reliable sources, because the former is user-generated content, and the latter is not independent. This is probably why the articles never existed before – if the only sources are a user's rating on AllMusic and Discogs, then it's very likely that the album articles will be redirected to the artist's article instead. Richard3120 (talk) 19:26, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
- Fixed, professional ref (Nick DeRiso and Billboard Oct 2, 2010) added, thank you for the feedback. Just have to look for professional journalists articles. Telecine Guy (talk) 06:02, 18 July 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:HeritageHouse Compton CA.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:HeritageHouse Compton CA.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
