:Thanks, Gerda! the time is no longer difficult emotionally (much), but it's a mess with handling the will, disposing of house, goods, chattels and belongings. Everything is taking far more time and effort that you could imagine ... and in amongst it all is the need to catch up and keep up with everything at work at the same time. I think I need some more chocolate .. [[User:Scarabocchio|Scarabocchio]] ([[User talk:Scarabocchio#top|talk]]) 19:41, 5 March 2012 (UTC) |

T:DYK Review for Münchener Biennale
Hello, I reviewed the article Munich Biennale for T:DYK the Did You Know nominations page. I think the article is well sourced, a good size and nicely organized. The table is very impressive. If you get a chance you might add a picture if you can find one. Leidseplein (talk) 23:18, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
DYK for Munich Biennale
On 31 March 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Munich Biennale, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Munich Biennale is an opera festival created in 1988 by Hans Werner Henze, focused on opera premieres of young composers? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Biennale in German
Please insert your table in de:Benutzer:Gerda Arendt/Münchener Biennale, IMF done, but other topics wait before I can add more to the Biennale, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:13, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- Done. I would suggest that you go for the absolute minimum for an acceptable article .. your opening sentence, Henze's quote and the table (minus my incomplete/ incorrect translation errors).Scarabocchio (talk) 15:29, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Done, my pleasure, - can you believe it, not even Henze had a link! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:21, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Great! Many thanks for your help on this!! I think that one of the best indications of the "importance" an article is the number of links going to it ... how "needed" was this article? The en:WP Biennale article had about 90 'what links here' connections. The de:WP article was also needed .. and I'm working on making as many links as possible (someone will eventually get bored with checking my work on de:WP and allow me to make changes without confirmation :-) Scarabocchio (talk) 21:48, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- More success: de:Wikipedia Diskussion:Hauptseite/Schon gewusst#Vorschlag: Münchener Biennale 30. April (erl.), I just found this, so in an hour - for 2 days, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:06, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Now, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:06, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
- Tolle! Watch it here: http://stats.grok.se/de/latest/Münchener_Biennale ... Scarabocchio (talk) 06:45, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- Seems DYK on the de:WP page has a big effect! (see stats link above) Scarabocchio (talk) 11:09, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Critique of the Opera Project, or where did it all go wrong?
I've written my critique of the Opera project. When I was active on the project, I used to wonder if we could succeed or not. I never gave us more than a 50:50 chance. Now I think I was too optimistic. The Wikipedia system is loaded against serious contributors. Ultimately it's all sandcastles. However great they look someone is going to come along and take a swing at them. Anyway, see here. Feel free to quote me — hopefully in context! Regards --Kleinzach 08:23, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
