Hi I'm a very inexperienced Wikipedian and I had a question I hoped you could answer. I had undone some vandalism on two pages and as I looked throught the history of the pages they had consistently very high levels of vandalism. I read the Wikipedia protection policy and this is a qualification for Semi-Protection. However, only administrators can apply protection to articles. I know that you're not an admin, but you seem like an experienced and knowledgable Wikipedian so I was hoping that you would know if there is a way I can contact an admin to request Semi-Protection of pages, or if you know and admin and could connect me to them. The articles I think should be Semi-Protected are: Methylenedioxymethamphetamine and Zodiac killer, in case that makes any difference. |

Awfully kind...

...of you to say so! I tend to obsess over my articles a bit, so they're a slow process, but I'm delighted you think they're of that good a quality! It helps as well that some of the people I write about are such characters, though Collier was one of my more melancholy subjects, but one who certainly deserved a decent article. One again, thank you! Benea (talk) 00:08, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
IRC
If you are online, as your page says you are, could you come talk on IRC about Spotlight? Thanks. Mm40 (talk | contribs) 02:29, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- As you can probably tell, I wasn't online at that time. I use my "status" as more of a long-term notification; if I'll be gone for 48 hours, then I'll mark myself as "offline". I have very rarely been on IRC recently, but perhaps I could join the channel some other time, if it works out. Best, Jamie☆S93 15:54, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
Haha
This is the nest. This is the next nest. Please keep them straight! rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 14:24, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

DYK for Howard D. Graves
Thanks for the notice. I'm still new at DYK standards. I'm expanding Howard D. Graves' article as we speak. I should have it done in the next hour or so. Ahodges7 talk 14:51, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- It should be good now. Ahodges7 talk 15:58, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
RFA thanks
My RFA passed today at 61/5/4. Thanks for participating in my RFA. I appreciate all the comments I received and will endeavor to justify the trust the WP community has placed in me. Have a nice day. :-) AdjustShift (talk) 21:22, 11 April 2009 (UTC) |
- Thank you very much, Jamie. I know you since my newbiehood on WP. BTW, when are you running for adminship? I'll definitely support you. Do you want me to nominate you for adminship? AdjustShift (talk) 21:58, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- Many thanks for your support. :) It seems like a lot of people recently are wanting me to run for adminship again (my first one was in August). BTW, I have two editors who are willing to nominate me already, Mailer diablo and Royalbroil, but if you'd like to also co-nom I think that would be alright. :) So I've been definitely thinking about RfA as a possibility soon, and have been doing something of a RfA question warm-up recently, too. ;) Jamie☆S93 22:11, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- Usually 2 noms are the maximum, so you're set, Jamie. Mailer Diablo left a message on my talk page about your admin testing/coaching page. I've left you some questions. Royalbroil 02:00, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll take a look at that soon! Jamie☆S93 02:02, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks
Thanks for the smile! It definitely cheered up my day between bits of RL and Wikipedia. Nice work with compiling updates too; I try to rotate between approving and assembling because I don't want to put a hook I've approved into the queue. I'd imagine it'll happen some time, but while we've got enough people like you, things will run smoothly. Shubinator (talk) 22:21, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Re: Bella Twins GAR
Thanks so much for the review. I really wasn't expecting it this early, you caught me off guard! :) Anyway, I see 'Blue managed to get most of the problems, and I think I fixed the remaining ones, if you'd like to check it back over. Thanks again! ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 12:20, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- thanks again for both the review, and the pass. :) Much appreciated! ♥Nici♥Vampire♥Heart♥ 17:02, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
If you want to tweak the wording I'm more than OK with that, but just as a factual matter, I did go ahead and include the non-extant tombs on the list. I just had the table start collapsed, with the option of expansion. Savidan 21:16, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, Jamie, for the translation on Calleras and tagging its talk page. I removed the expand tag. --Rosiestep (talk) 04:27, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
What's the deal with not check the history when it comes to VfD? You put a tag yet again and removed verifiable sources. The Lutheran is a well known publication - www.thelutheran.com and Wiki cites All Music Guide
See, we've been through VfD twice and both have resulted in Keep!
1st time: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Lost_and_Found_(band) 2nd time: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Lost_and_Found_(Christian_rock_band)
And sources were quoted as per this edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lost_and_Found_(Christian_rock_band)&oldid=284799569
Your edits are the ones that changed the article - again - after we've been through VfD twice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KagomeShuko (talk • contribs) 03:46, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Typo
Sorry, I'll have to get to that. Bugboy52.4 (talk) 01:55, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, I had to switsh scripts, one overwrites articles, and one does, but can you check to see that I didn't overwrite any other articles? Bugboy52.4 (talk) 01:58, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- I still haven't figured that bug out yet, it seems to skip some on the list at random. Bugboy52.4 (talk) 02:04, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
DYK notice?
As you were the one to add '76 to the 'nex update', I was wondering about when I (and article discussion) was going to get notified that the DYK is featured in Mainspace. I am unclear of protocol here. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 16:28, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- Usually the DYK contributors/nominators promptly get notified of their hook on the main page as soon as it's promoted there. There was a delay this time (see WT:DYK), but I'm doing the credits now. Best, Jamie☆S93 16:34, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
