Gemikonagi Port of Lefke is a seaport in the west of Northern Cyprus. It's in the suburb of Denizli, three kilometers north of Lefka / Lefke CBD, located eighteen kilometers southwest of the town of Güzelyurt on the south shore of the Güzelyurt Bay.
Until 1930's, before the Lefka / Lefke mines began operating, Gemikonağı port was mainly used for exporting Lefke's world famous citrus to European and Middle Eastern markets. In 1930's the port of Gemikonağı was transformed into an important center for exporting of Cyprus' copper.[1]
The ports of Northern Cyprus are not registered to International Maritime Organization (IMO).
