Premise
[edit]The film is reportedly concerning two friends who embark on a quest to find Michael Jackson’s white glove.[1]
Production
[edit]Moir and Mortimer wrote the script to The Glove twenty years before the film entered production, and is reported to be the duo’s finale after 30 years working together. Moir described a “madcap road movie” to The Times.[2] In 2020, the film was set to be directed by Tim Kirkby and made by Studio POW with Leopold Hughes and Kevin Proctor as producers.[3]
Casting
[edit]An initial cast was set to include Noel Fielding, Matt Lucas, Paul Whitehouse, Morgana Robinson, Tony Pitts and Tony Way.[4] In November 2022, Brian Cox was reported as cast in the film.[5]
Matt Berry, Kevin Eldon, Dan Renton Skinner, Gina McKee, and Spencer Jones, Lauren O'Rourke, Sunil Patel, Bobby Mair and Rob Carter were reported to be cast in the film in February 2023.[6]
Filming
[edit]Filming was scheduled to commence 2021,[7] and then in 2022, but was pushed back into 2023.[8]
