This category gathers article relating to political issues about water (protests, strategic sciences, geostrategy, laws, etc.). Pollution endangering the quality of drinking water is one such political issue. Also the issue of hydroelectricity and the building of dams in environmentally sensitive areas. Some dams, such as the Atatürk Dam in Turkey, may be considered as political moves, as they allow a country to keep control of a valued resource.
