On 24 July 2024, a Canadair CRJ-200ER operating as Saurya Airlines crashed shortly after taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. Out of the 19 on board, 18 are dead leaving the pilot as the sole survivor. This is the worst civilian plane crash of 2024 up to date.[1][2][3]
