Please be civil

I would have thought you would understand by now but comments like this are unacceptable. If you can't be civil towards over editors and discuss any concerns in a calm manner then you'll be blocked again. Adambro 21:45, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

blocked again

i've blocked your account for 4 months for making personal attacks despite numerous reminders and warnings. –Doldrums(talk) 22:58, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

User:Edbrown05

Your userpage is intended to inform others about you and your involvement with the project, not be a platform for rants about the project. The current version of your userpage seems to have crossed the line between the two. Adambro (talk) 21:34, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Up yours Adambro, u asshole.

What? You're going to delete my page now? U suck, start unsucking.

Please more civil to other contributors. Adambro (talk) 21:49, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, you're civil.

What you aren't is open. Open to a process that allows news. I don't give a hoot about main stream media.

Ed, to my knowledge I've never interacted with you, so hopefully you'll see this as the viewpoint of someone uninvolved with your Wikinews history. You have been blocked several times in the past for blatant incivility, so I wouldn't have been unjustified in blocking you again from your last couple of comments. You've been around for long enough to know that that's not the way you get things done here. I'm asking you politely to retract the "assholes on IRC" comment on your user page, because even without naming names it's still a clear personal attack on someone in the community, who presumably knows who they are. If you want to change things on Wikinews, then propose a solution rather than bitching about the problem, and if you think that it's incurable then you should just completely disengage - which would mean not talking to those "assholes on IRC" as well. Look, it doesn't matter if you disagree with someone, want to yell at someone/whatever, but you need to do it in a polite way. Your current approach only alienates people (not to mention leading you straight into special:blockip).Telling people they suck won't help wikinews or you any, nor will it achieve your goals. (to increase citizen journalism here or whatever they may be). Polite disagreement will get you a lot further. (p.s. treat this as standard, follow WN:E or else warning. you've heard this all before and should know better). Bawolff 23:58, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Blocked again

You have been blocked from Wikinews for 6 months, disruption/persistent incivility. Your edits have been reverted or removed. If you wish to talk to an administrator about this, please go to Wikinews IRC, send a message to [email protected] or add {{Unblock|reason}} to your talk page.
