- House of Byzantine → Palaiologos (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
The term is not used to describe the Byzantine monarchs. The searches return other meanings, like "house of Byznatine art" in WP:RS (the sense implied by the redirect can be found on some forums of no professional importance). WP:RFD#DELETE #8 (obscure or novel term) Викидим (talk) 22:41, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Delete unless some logical reason for this redirect's existence can be established. The term doesn't appear on the target page, doesn't look like a normal way of referring to any Byzantine dynasty (the logical construction would be "House of Byzantium"), and I see no reason why it would apply to the Palaeologi but not previous Byzantine dynasties. Per the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Francium fluoride decision was near-unanimous "delete", not redirect. It was unclear to participants if any statements about the compound can be made at all. So WP:RFD#DELETE #2 (confusion) and #10 (almost no information at the target). Викидим (talk) 22:33, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

No musician named "Adom", or anyone named "Adom" listed at the target page. Nothing similar listed at either Adam (disambiguation) or Adam (given name) either. The page history indicates that this is an alternate name for Anton Cosmo, who is mentioned at the page. however as there is no indication of Anton's solo aliases at the general Boston (band) article, as a redirect this is confusing and unhelpful. - Active data structure → Data structure#Active data structures (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Apparently a dicdef merge from March 2009 that was removed less than a month later in April 2009. Since then, the word "active" has not appeared at the target page for seemingly the last 15 years at this point. Currently unhelpful to readers searching for a specific term (a la Ultra short-term memory apparently) and Wikipedia not having any information about this classification of data structures at the target. Utopes (talk / cont) 22:05, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Well, it seems the sources [1] [2] are still up, and I can find two more [3] [4], maybe the best thing is to un-redirect it and turn it into a stub, so it can eventually grow to something like persistent data structure or retroactive data structure. Mathnerd314159 (talk) 23:29, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Well, it's been a week, and the rfd page says "Turning redirects into articles is wholly encouraged. Be bold!" so I went ahead and made the article. It's even a bit bigger than a stub. I didn't delete the RFD stuff because I wasn't sure about how closes work, IIRC an admin or uninvolved editor has to close. Mathnerd314159 (talk) 02:54, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

- Academic Medicine → Medicine (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
The word "academic" is not mentioned at the target, nor is there anything related to "academia" which is present at the general article for medicine. The one opinion-piece this page referred to, considered this topic wholly separate, and keeping this as a blue link implies that we have information about the academic variant of medicine at the target, which we do not. Utopes (talk / cont) 21:53, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

- Comment; As I didn't realize at first, but have now done, the capitalized Academic Medicine has now been bundled to this nomination.
- Currently, there is another article titled Academic Medicine (journal) which disambiguates itself from the "generic" capitalized / still-undiscussed version. Notifying @BD2412 and Presidentman: of this change. Moving the journal title to the "generic" title could also be an option given that it's a topic in its own right. Utopes (talk / cont) 23:15, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think the journal article could be moved per WP:DIFFCAPS. For the lower-case version, retargeting would still be my preference. Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 23:25, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- I would ~80% say that the full-caps version should still point to Medical education, and the journal could be solved with a hatnote. BD2412 T 23:58, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

The letter "ƒ" does not appear anywhere at the target. Searching for this term externally just gives Abraham related info, even when quoted. In any case, this page was created as a pagemove, from a title that had previously been there for all of 10 minutes. Without any other context, I feel that a look of disapproval would be quite associated with Disappointment and Regret, and not exclusively a stare-emoticon. This term is otherwise vague for looks of disapproval. Utopes (talk / cont) 04:52, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

- I was hoping there would be more intuitive/related content at Nonverbal communication or Facial expression, but there's nothing substantial. Otherwise, my searches suggest there's a pretty strong affinity between the phrase and the emoticon, so it's not unreasonable to point at those resources, even if it is a common phrase outside of that context. Whatever happened to that emoticon RfC from a few months ago? Is there better/different guidance on how to handle these? Note that ಠ_ಠ points to Emoticon#2channel. ― Synpath 22:48, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Refine to List of emoticons#Look of Disapproval and tag as {{r from other capitalization}} and {{r from avoided double redirect|Look of Disapproval}}. This is the name of the emoticon ಠ_ಠ.
- While the expression "look of disapproval" exists, it is not idiomatic, it's meaning completely derives from its parts. Should sourcable idiomatic uses other than the emoticon become known in the future, we'll disambiguate. Paradoctor (talk) 22:04, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

The number "26" is not mentioned at the target in any capacity outside of dates in references, and one ref title. That said, nothing among Karthi 1 through Karthi 25 exist, so there's no sequential redirects (this is the only one). This seems to be a nod representing Karthi's 26th film, seemingly as Karthi 25 has outside usage as well, but none of these naming conventions are mentioned at Karthi's article either. The word "intelligence" is not mentioned at the target page, nor is there any allusion to Bloomberg's Intelligence division at the article. This topic is not covered anywhere on Wikipedia, and only is mentioned at Environmental effects of bitcoin, where the mention can easily be changed to "according to Bloomberg" and refer to the company itself instead of the unmentioned and undiscussed division. Utopes (talk / cont) 20:41, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Leaning keep. Google search results are clouded by the fact that there are a lot more sources reflecting content from "Bloomberg Intelligence" rather than about it, but it is pretty clearly a thing that exists as a part of Bloomberg L.P., and the reader searching for the phrase is better off being taken to the current target than anywhere else. - Job (economics) → Work (human activity) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
I'm not sure about this redirect being clear in what it is meant to refer. Is it meant to refer to a job in the economics field? If so, I don't believe the current target or Employment to be proper targets. I also do not believe that retargeting to Job (disambiguation) would be helpful either since the only correlation it would have listed there would be whatever Job refers to, which is currently a redirect to Work (human activity). Would a solution similar to Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2024 February 13#市 be appropriate in this case as well? — Godsy (TALKCONT) 22:08, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- I suspect not, as wikt:县 seems to suggest this character is only used in simplified Chinese, not in Japanese, Korean, or traditional Chinese. Do you have other targets in mind besides Counties of China? —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 05:43, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- That makes sense compared to 'wikt:市'; that method of investigation also appears to be a good way to determine if such characters are in potential need of disambiguation. — Godsy (TALKCONT) 06:35, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Arguably this could redirect to 縣 (traditional character), which is a disambiguation page of the same kind as 市. Or arguably the current setup, with 县 (simplified Chinese) and 県 (Japanese shinjitai) being redirects for those countries, is also fine as it is. Adumbrativus (talk) 07:51, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. Chinese and Japanese speaker here. I feel that the use of Simplified Chinese character is sufficient to push it over the edge such that Counties of China should be the primary topic, as does Japanese shinjitai 県 → Prefectures of Japan. Deryck C. 17:06, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

Not mentioned in target article, leaving the connection between the redirect and the target unclear. Most likely, this is a WP:FORRED issue. Steel1943 (talk) 12:35, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Delete. Trying to search around, and am getting vague, spotty references to the comic book character being referred to as "Pappoos" or "Pappus" in another language. I think we can chalnk this up to WP:FORRED. Lunamann 🌙🌙🌙 The Moooooooniest (talk) 13:07, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Delete as best I can tell this relates to a Malayalam animated cartoon "based on" the target (but that's based on unreliable sources so may be incorrect). Putting "Pappoos" into Google Translate and asking it for Malayalam gives "പപ്പൂസ്", searching that does back up the connection so I think we can safely say this is a WP:FORRED issue. Thryduulf (talk) 13:25, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, there is a similar-looking (but not mute) cartoon/character who has a parrot named Minnoos, see this, this, this, and this (which might partly be duplicates or subsets of each other – total pageviews less than 30k each). — BarrelProof (talk) 23:06, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Consider redirecting to Papoose as a possible misspelling – Pappoose already redirects there, and differs by only the presence of one silent character. — BarrelProof (talk) 22:53, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Bringing this here based on a dispute with Abhiramakella. Based on consensus in past discussions, including one that resulted in the deletion of this redirect in the past, CountryName YYYY redirects are not unambiguously associated with events. Proposing to redirect to 2024 in France, which wasn't an option at the time this redirect was last deleted. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:39, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

- @Zxcvbnm: Do you have an example of any of these that were recreated after being previously deleted? - Retarget to 2024 in France: as a sidenote, UK 2012 also redirects to 2012 in the United Kingdom. And whilst I'm thinking about it, Paris 2024 should remain as a redirect to 2024 Summer Olympics (like London 2012 and Beijing 2008). 🔥HOTm̵̟͆e̷̜̓s̵̼̊s̸̜̃🔥 (talk・edits) 14:00, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

- Retarget to Copyright#Ownership as it's the closest thing I can think of to the topic described by the redirect name. Lunamann 🌙🌙🌙 The Moooooooniest (talk) 19:15, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Retarget to Ownership. If this is to remain a cross-namespace redirect then the current target is definitely the correct one, being the same place Wikipedia:Ownership of articles redirects. Looking at Google results, the most common result is internal policies on various wikis (at least some of them probably inspired by our policy), followed by queries about/discussion of the policy on Wikipedia (a mix of UGC and academic discourse). Looking for hits unrelated to Wikis, there are results regarding copyright (especially of works produced by academics), copyright/ownership of website articles (especially knowledge base articles), and ownership of physical property (e.g. relation to pawn brokers and marriage). I don't support retargetting to copyright#Ownership as that's too deep in the article and too short to really help most people without all the preceding context. Ownership is the best target I've found as while it's more general than the search term is looking for, it does cover all aspects of ownership and contains a hatnote to the current target. Thryduulf (talk) 19:49, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Weak retarget though Google for this term in quotes mainly returns Wikipedia it does return other uses. Unlike say Articles for deletion it doesn't seem like a particularly likely search term especially given the project page was renamed to "content" to reflect its not just articles. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:55, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Delete There's an issue over the ownership of articles published in academic journals, so there is a possible encyclopedic article that could use this title. The assignments of copyrights of journal articles to the journal publisher a thing that happens, and has garnered some controversy and pushback. -- 65.92.247.66 (talk) 05:58, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

Bunch of confusing/unlikely WP:XNRs. Delete all unless a proper non-mainspace target can be found. Steel1943 (talk) 22:39, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- The first redirect is an {{R from move}} from when an article was moved from wikiproject-space to mainspace (see Special:Diff/139654853). It looks like the second was created when Wikipedia:WikiProject Elections and Referenda was renamed to Wikipedia:WikiProject Elections and Referendums (see Special:Permalink/331200691#How about a new name?). I think I'm a keep on the first one (as an {{R from move}}), and somewhere between keep and weak keep for the second (it potentially doesn't need to exist, but - at the same time - I can't see any particular benefit from deleting it, so it might as well stay around). In my opinion, these seem (relatively) WP:CHEAP - these don't have some of the same potential issues as XNRs from mainspace, in that (for example) there's no risk of a reader accidentally falling through a 'trap-door' to projectspace. Histmerge then delete. Although the creation summary claims "GRiMgRiMoiRe" is the official capitalisation, I can't verify this. Everything, reliable and unreliable, on the first five pages of Google hits uses camelcase), although as Google is case insensitive there might be something I've missed. This is tagged as an R from merge, but the page history shows it was actually a cut-and-paste move so the April-June 2007 history can just be moved to the correct title.
