    Advice to requesters

    All requests:

    • Please make sure your request is "legitimate" by copyright. If the image(s) are in the public domain or freely licensed, you are fine. If the image(s) are "Fair use", there are only certain things we can do with them without falling afoul of Wikipedia's fair-use policies.
      • If you are requesting assistance with a copyright or fair-use image, don't display it on this page; place {{GLNF|Example.png|caption|align=left}} to create a link to it. Do not add the File: extension. Our fair-use policy does not allow displaying fair-use images out of their articles on ANY account.
    • Please check back regularly to see if progress has been made or if any additional questions need to be answered before the request can be completed.
    • If a request is done to your satisfaction, please mark it with {{resolved}}.

    SVG requests:

    • Make sure your request can actually BE vectorized. Note that vector drawings are not suitable for certain applications. We generally use SVG format for icons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, and such. Certain things, photographs especially, are totally impossible to vectorize.
    • Per our non-free content policy, vectorization of copyrighted images is not permitted. If a vectorized non-free image is desired, seek out such an image from the copyright holder.

Flag and arms of Plomelin - corrections

    edit
    Article(s)
All articles these already appear on.
    Request
Could somebody please modify the above files representing the flag and coat of arms of Plomelin, so that they look closer to the way they actually should? The proper version of the flag can be seen here and here. And the full version of the arms can be seen here (albeit obviously without the captions at the top and bottom). Thanks. Is the dragon meant to be identical between the coat of arms and the flag? Just asking, since that coat of arms image that you sent is by far the highest quality version I've been able to find, so I'd like to use it as a reference for both.

@DeVos Max: Yes, I agree that the dragon from the version of the COA in the link should be used as a reference in the update of both files. Thanks for your interest! Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 15:52, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • So if I'm right, you want us to make the logo for a WLX Wali language (Gur) Wiki. This image is slightly different from the DGA Dagaare language, which according to its page is in the same dialect continuum. Groetjes, Peter (talk) 15:05, 1 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I've asked the maker of the DGA logo whether he can make the WLX logo as well. Groetjes, Peter (talk) 15:31, 1 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Odder already made the logo. Groetjes, Peter (talk) 11:36, 2 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Could someone please vectorise this JPG File and Convert it from JPG to SVG. The autograph is of a very prominent personality and would look better as SVG. I would appreciate if someone could take out their valuable time and work on this file. I ain't sure if it's possible or not because the JPG seems blurred, but if someone could do it (if possible) it would be great.

    Swiss Guard (among others)
    Request
Please could someone create an SVG version of the current Swiss Guard flag? Notable changes from the former flag is the swapping of the blue and red stripes in the top right corner, and the coat of arms of the current commander in the centre. Also the shield in the bottom left corner ought to be the same colour as the blue in the stripes. Thank you! -- Mangwanani (talk) 15:17, 1 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

    Flag of Bissau

    Bissau
    Request
Hi! I was wondering if someone can kindly please vectorize the flag of Bissau, the capital city of Guinea-Bissau? It uses a Gyronny pattern that is typically used by Portuguese cities as Guinea-Bissau was previously a Portuguese colony. The flag uses a Gyronny pattern of black and red with the coat of arms of the city placed in front. I have included the former flag of Dili, the capital city of East Timor to use as a reference as this flag used Gyronny pattern while East Timor was a colony of Portgual. I also included a version of the Gyronny pattern flag of Ceuta, Spain that does not have a coat of arms on it to use as a base so the request can be done more quickly. I'll be grateful to see it done. Thanks in advance!--78.152.226.46 (talk) 22:52, 2 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Need new schematic for helicopter article

    edit

Hi. I hope I'm in the right place. The helicopter article is missing a decent diagram illustrating a typical helicopter transmissions. It needs a schematic diagram of a typical transmission. A photo of the item is here:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/mechanical_gifs/comments/nnvl1x/hughes_500_helicopter_transmission_uses_only_two/

The schematic can be fairly simple: it needs to show:

    a) the three cylindrical shafts (axles) you see in that photo: diagonal shaft at lower-right; horizontal shaft in upper right; and vertical shaft (upper left).

    b) two pairs of Bevel gears. Each pair is two gears: one on each shaft. The individual gears are slanted (cone shape). The final pic will have a total of four individual gears, they should be clear in the above photo. An example line pic of a bevel gear pair is at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bevel_gear#/media/File:Beve_gear_schematic.png

The gears in the schematic do not need to be elaborate 3D CAD-CAM renderings: a sketch of a cone shape with several parallel lines indicating the teeth should be fine (as seen in Beve_gear_schematic.png).

The diagram can omit all the other stuff: the ball bearings; the outer transmission housing (case).

Ideally, the diagram would be from an isometric viewpoint (like the photo); but if that is too time-consuming, a simpler "side view" will be fine. Anything is better than what is there now ... nothing  :-)

I guess SVG vector is the best format. I can add textual labels/arrows to the finished product, it is the gears and shafts that I cannot draw.

Let me know if you have any questions, or if there is a better place to post this request. Noleander (talk) 04:08, 5 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

    List of flags of Finland
    Request
Hi! I was wondering if someone can kindly please vectorize the original naval jack of Finland? The flag is a square blue cross on a white background with a saltire of red and yellow stripes shown behind the cross but in front of the white background. I have included the original admiral's flag of Finland to use as a reference as this flag is the one that the naval jack is based on. I also included the standard of the Regent of Finland to use as a base for the red and yellow colors so the request can be done more quickly. I'll be grateful to see it done. Thanks in advance!--78.152.226.46 (talk) 22:32, 5 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
