Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Muhammad Talha Kandhlawi

The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the article below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the article's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.

The result was delete. There are plenty of assertions of notability, but no evidence provided. If this is a notable person the article can be recreated, with foreign-language sources of course, but using those independent, reliable, in-depth sources. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 14:16, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@AaqibAnjum: Are there any sources available to prove his notability? not death news or similar. ❁ᴀᴜᴛʜᴏʀ❁ (❁ᴅᴏᴍ❁) 01:35, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Authordom:, I tried a bit and got these. There is much more.
  • "Khulafa of Shaykh Zakariya".
  • "Muhammad Talha Kandhlawi by Obaidur Rahman Nadwi". The Fragrance of East (September 2019).
  • "Fatawa Dud".
  • "The Imaam of Sulook".
  • Fuzail Ahmad Nasiri. "Armughan, Talha Kandhlawi chapter" (PDF).

@Authordom: Newspapers and news media only write obituary articles or as you call them 'death news' about notable leaders or people, not about ordinary people like me. Do they? This person's obituaries were written by independent sources in Hindi and Urdu languages. Wikipedia also accepts sources in Hindi and Urdu languages. @AaqibAnjum: has found 5 additional sources listed above by him. Ngrewal1 (talk) 17:35, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Fails WP:GNG and WP:NOTINHERITED and after going through the all 5 references could not find a single indepth reference all of them are about his death. Now there are thousands of Islamic scholars in India it is not clear as how the particular subject is notable.
