Hi!

Hello, Malcolm. I was just wondering if you culd either a) teach me how to trim pictures with white in the background, or b) trim this picture. It would be much appreciated. Thank you. ASprigOfFig 22:55, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

P.S.: Could you help me get this picture to show on the image page? It shows up like I wanted it to if you click full resolution and then click on the picture to make it enlarge (make the magnifying glass show a minus sign in it instead of a plus sign). Please help. THank you, again. ASprigOfFig 22:58, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Do you use Windows (I only know how to crop in that)? I'll trim thaat image for you. I'm not totally sure how to fix the second image, but I'll try one method. If it doesn't work, I can pretty much guarantee that someone will at the help desk. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 23:03, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I do use Windows. Okay, thanks a whole metric ton and a half (for both). Most sincerely, -A Sprig of Fig 23:18, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
To crop:
  1. Go to the folder in which you saved the image (e.g. My Pictures).
  2. Right click on the image's icon and click "Edit".
  3. On the editing page, click the lower right corner and move it around to crop the image.
It can be confusing, so feel free to ask me any questions you have. For the second image, my method didn't quite work, so WP:HD should give you an answer. Nice username, by the way. :) — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 23:41, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
I'll answer respectively (meaning in the order you answered me. Well, I hope I answer respectively- as in politely, etc.) as to save space: Okay, thanks. I think I got it, but I might have just been lucky so I still might need your help. Thanks, anyway- it is much appreciated. I have gone there for help so I should get the answer soon. I'll send it to you if you like. Thanks, I like your username also (I have always liked the name "Malcolm", it is part of the reason I came to you. Another was that you were a sysop.). In the most sincere manner, -A Sprig of Fig 23:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Hey, I cured two problems at once! I can now crop (I'm pretty sure I know how to without being lucky) and the image with the thumbnail problem is now operable! Thank you!!!!!!!!! In the most sincere manner, -A Sprig of Fig 00:08, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Oh, and thanks from the welcome, I thought I already said this to you, but evidently I didn't. So, thanks. In the most sincere manner, -A Sprig of Fig 00:10, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

I prefer pi

This user knows by heart the first 10 digits in the decimal representation of pi.

Your pi userbox's picture appears to be broken. Please fix it. Kevin 02:17, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Fixed, thanks for telling me. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 18:50, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure if I should say Thank You or You're Welcome :) Kevin 21:16, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Monobooks

I have heard of this thing called a "monobook.js" and was first wondring how to get one. Second I wanted to know of any good things to put in my own, that is, if I am allowed to create one. Obviously, they would have to be usable to a noobie because, well, I am one. Is there anything to post warnings on someone's talk page? Or to preview a page in a lnk without going to that page? How about extra editing capabilities? Can I just copy somebody's monobook data and change it to mine if I get their permission? And if so, do you know someone who has a really "complete" one, meaning one with a lot of extra abilities? I kknow this is a lot to answer, but I would appreciate it a lot if you did (I figure you will since you are so nice). In the most sincere manner, -A Sprig of Fig & a lock of holly 17:46, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Several other things, not really relating to monobooks, but I wanted to keep your page's ToC short. 1.) What is the words surrounded by the == called? A title? 2.) How does one make a userbox for a Wikiproject/Wikiclub (such as the harmonious editors)? How does one make/provide a link to a category, I think that's what it is called, through a userbox? How can one make a category? How does one work a watchlist? How do you know if something changed in a page in your watchlist? I had another question, but I can't remember it, so I'll just finish it with this and come back later if I remember. Sorry for being such a burden. In the most sincere manner, -A Sprig of Fig & a lock of holly 18:04, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Never mind about the "how to create one" question, I know how to now. The rest still applies. In the most sincere manner, -A Sprig of Fig & a lock of holly 18:45, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Is the .css the same a .js? And what is a wikitable? How do you make one? Sorry for all of this agian. In the most sincere manner, -A Sprig of Fig & a lock of holly 19:08, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

An Image with a no rationale for Fair Use

The current image, Image:Spy Kids 2.jpg is under fair use, but has no rationale. It has been tagged since June 6, 2007. The uploader has been notified, but there has been no rationale. Is it posssible for it to speedy deleted, and may I notify it in the image captions of the image's article(s)? Tyty1234 06:12, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I'll speedy it shortly. As for the image captions, you may (it's optional) use {{speedy-image-c|[[2007-06-13]]}}. Of course, you won't want to do that for this image, since it's about to be deleted. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 22:37, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
