wrestlers and Lincoln

edit
- Here's what I know about wrestlers. Gotta have the endurance of a long distance runner and the reflexes of a football receiver. Practices are quicker than football and more grueling than cross country. That said, you altered captions on Republican candidates in the Election of 1860 saying, "Removed post-election titles as they would not have been notable in this specific election." -- without discussion. But, they were.
- Doris K. Goodwin's "Team of Rivals" is pretty important in the field, and it is popular enough for Steven Spielberg to make Lincoln (2012 film). Lincoln's rivals in the article gallery with cabinet titles PROMISED IN THE ELECTION featured prominently in (a) the run-up to the convention, (b) the convention,
- (c) in surrogate campaign speeches, and (d) their influence in getting militias in their states mobilized before Lincoln's inauguration, and (e) -- YOUR point -- their service after the election during the civil war, and so on.
- But all the events surrounding THE ELECTION of 1860 -- (a), (b), (c), and (d) -- the point of cabinet titles in the captions -- cannot reasonably be blanked by your point (e) as cabinet titles AFTER the election? I intend to expand the account of the election using "Team of Rivals".
- Wiki-editing, I opened a section at Post-election titles, reverted your revert with reference to "Team of Rivals", and now find my restoration reverted by you with no discussion. Any thoughts? TheVirginiaHistorian (talk) 17:53, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
