Romanian
editHey. You made a rather significant mistake when you marked Un pământ numit România as a copyright violation - namely, you forgot to mention where it's a copyright violation of (which is done by typing {{copyvio|url=http://original.com/wherever.htm}}). I fixed it for you; this is just so you can avoid making that mistake in the future. DS 12:48, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
Actually, it was done on purpose - I have no idea where he/she stole it from, since N.Stanescu is a widely known and loved poet in Romania, so I prefered not to add a link. But thanks, anyway Dunemaire 19:46, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
I'm confused as well. The image appears never to have been uploaded to the English Wikipedia - only to Commons. I deleted a page (not an image) entitled Image:Adoptfirefox.jpg that read "ADOPT FIREFOX FUCKERS" sometime in June because it was, indeed, nonsense. I don't understand why you think I've deleted the image; it most certainly still exists. Click the link for ample proof. — Dan | Talk 13:57, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I don't think you understand. The image was never deleted! It never existed on en.wikipedia - only Commons. It definitely is still there. Like I said, click the link and there it will be. — Dan | Talk 16:13, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
Invasion copyvio
editAt Wikipedia:Pages_needing_translation_into_English#Soviet_invasion_of_Romania: could you please be more precise about what this is a copyvio of (actual book title, preferably page numbers & ISBN), so we can tag the article as a copyvio and get it off the translation list? -- Jmabel | Talk 18:17, 23 October 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't mean you were wasting our time, I meant the person who posted the copyvio, who was an experienced user. Apologies if that was ambiguous. We went through a whole AfD process over the thing, which just should have been removed as a copyvio. -- Jmabel | Talk 20:31, 23 October 2005 (UTC)
- What you did was basically right. It would have been better to give the title in the original language and to say that you didn't have page number because you didn't have the book at hand. Also, you could have done the follow-up yourself, nothing in this required admin powers. The follow-up was at Soviet invasion of Romania, Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2005 October 23, and Wikipedia:Pages needing translation into English. Again, though, what you did was basically fine. My frustration was that an extensive and usually serious (albeit anonymous and partisan) contributor User:86.105.71.34 inserted what I'm sure he knew was copyrighted material. -- Jmabel | Talk 20:51, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

However, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words.
Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Stifle 15:20, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- No need to apply speedy delete on that. For Pete's sake, it's a subpage at my user where I gather material to read for the article I intend to create and I'll delete it when I'm finished with the article.Mind you, I even included the source for it in the draft. Dunemaire 15:18, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- I don't know if you're aware, but you did put this article in the main namespace and not as a user subpage. And unfortunately, citing a source is not the same as getting permission for copyright. Stifle 15:20, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- Now that you mention it, they appear as main pages, true. What do I have to change in their name to make them simple subpages at my user? Dunemaire 15:23, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- To create a subpage to your userpage, the best way is to create a link to it on your main user page then click the link. The page name must be of the form User:Dunemaire/new_page_name. An example is my User:Stifle/Irish_Railway_Project page. Stifle 15:24, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

Câmpeni
editSalut,
Nice picture that map of Romania with Câmpeni highlated. One thing though, zou should also add the copzright and generalz it carries the on of the source, in that case {{PD}}. I added it.
Also nice article, but I think it should have the title with diacritics, there is no problem (See Braşov, Sebeş etc.), so I'll move it to Câmpeni. I also fixed it a little bit and splited it into sections, hope you don't mind.
Another thing, I-ll be happy if you could start an article about Ţara Moţilor, because I think there should be more things about ethnographical regions of Romania. You could use as a starting point this one: Mărginimea Sibiului (my article :D). --Mihai -talk 16:17, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
- About the Ţara Moţilor, I'll be glad to help. Just let me know when you have started the article. --Mihai -talk 17:33, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Tara motilor
editGreat work, I'll have a better look tonight, from home (where I can use the diacritics :D). I think I'll try to make a a map, and it would be nice if we could find some more pictures. A generic one, with some typical Apuseni landscape or a village (a house) I think it will do. --Mihai -talk 15:52, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

edit75px|left Hi Dunemaire. I, SoothingR would like to commend you on your edits pertaining to the article Iron ball paint. Edits like that give Wikipedia the christmas spirit which we need so much. Especially today.
Thanks for your peaceful and useful contributions, and I wish you a merry christmas - and ofcourse - a happy new year.

Thanks for adding the pic! It looks great! We (my wife and I) have ours in hard copy, but lost the jpg. Good to another.--ghost 15:35, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

Adi de Vito
editYou really have a major problem with Adi de Vito since you keep modifying my article about him ...
You must have an obsession about his 'growth failure' ...
Do you really have to do that ?
- Yup, I hate the guy's guts. But that still doesn't keep me from taking out POV from the article. What's your excuse? Dunemaire 14:34, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
...
Well, my friend, I am glad that we both hate his guts! I will stop writing nonsense there and just let the article as it is - probably there will be people to write that "Adi takes bl**-**b" and so on: it's a free world, or at least that is what we are told in school ...
- A truly wise decision. For the record, when you write on talk pages, it is customary to sign your comments by using "~~~~"Dunemaire 15:46, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
An Esperanzial note
editAs I remember, the last spam that was handed out was on the 20th of December last year, so I think it's time for another update. First and foremost, the new Advisory Council and Administrator General have been elected. They consist of myself as Admin General and FireFox, Titoxd, Flcelloguy and Karmafist as the Advisory Council. We as a group met formally for the first time on the 31st of Decembe. The minutes of this meeting can be found at WP:ESP/ACM. The next one is planned for tonight (Sunday 29 January) at 20:30 UTC and the agenda can be found at WP:ESP/ACM2.
In other news, Karmafist has set up a discussion about a new personal attack policy, which it can be found here. Other new pages include an introductory page on what to do when you sign up, So you've joined Esperanza... and a welcome template: {{EA-welcome}} (courtesy of Bratsche). Some of our old hands may like to make sure they do everything on the list as well ;) Additionally, the userpage award program proposal has become official is operational: see Wikipedia:Esperanza/User Page Award to nominate a userpage or volunteer as a judge. Also see the proposed programs page for many new proposals and old ones that need more discussion ;)
Other than that, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you an Esperanzially good new WikiYear :D Thank you! --Celestianpower háblame 16:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Another Esperanzial note...
editHi again Esperanzians! Well, since our last frolic in the realms of news, the Advisory Council has met twice more (see WP:ESP/ACM2 and WP:ESP/ACM3). As a result, the charter has been ammended twice (see here for details) and all of the shortcuts have been standardised (see the summary for more details). Also of note is the Valentines ball that will take place in the Esperanza IRC channel on the 14th of February (tomorrow). It will start at 6pm UTC and go on until everyone's had enough! I hope to see you all there! Also, the spamlist has been dissolved - all Esperanzians will now recieve this update "newsletter".
The other major notice I need to tell you about is the upcoming Esperanza Advisory Council Elections. These will take place from 12:00 UTC on February 20th to 11:59 UTC on February 27th. The official handing-over will take place the following day. Candidates are able to volunteer any time before the 20th, so long as they are already listed on the members list. Anyone currently listed on the memberlist can vote. In a change since last time, if you have already been a member of the leadership, you may run again. Due to the neutrality precident, I will not vote for anyone.
Yours, as ever, Esperanzially,

Old Skool Esperanzial note

A short Esperanzial update
editAs you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Psychology Wiki
editHi Dunemaire,
I noticed that you are a clinical psychologist, and thought you might be interested in this project which I am involved in, The Psychology Wiki.
I won't say too much, as I'd like you to judge it for yourself, but you should find that it is different from Wikipedia, because approximately 90% of our contributors so far are professional psychologists, academics, or students and trainees.
Its hosted by a company called Wikia, which was founded by Jimmy Wales and Angela Beesley. There are Google Ads on the site, but we dont make money from the project, they're just to pay for the bandwidth, storage and technical support that Wikia give us.
Have a look and see what you think
Mostly Zen 00:15, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
PS As you are in the Esperanza group, do you think you could have a look at the way our community is working at present? We're quite young, at only 6 months old, but I think things are going well at the moment. Tell us what you think :)

Please help to keep this article, voting against deletion [1]. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
