Hello, DN27ND. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Nori Bunasawa, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Hi DN27DN. Pretty much all of your edits here on English Wikipedia, on Wikimedia Commons (Commons) and on Japanese Wikipedia have been related to "Nori Bunasawa", which is giving off a pretty strong impression that there exists some kind of personal or professional connection between you and Bunasawa. Wikipedia accounts, like yours, that focus almost exclusively on content related to a single subject are referred to as single-purpose accounts and this often is because there's a strong connection (i.e. more than a casual connection) between the person using the account and the content they're editing. You approved a draft about Bunasawa created by 110347nbtough, who claimed on Commons to be Bunasawa himself, shortly after your account was created and making a few edits even though you seem to have had no previous experience or record of being an WP:AFC reveiwer. Such a thing is too odd to be mere coincidence; so, perhaps you're a friend, colleague, relative, former student, etc. of Bunasawa who just is trying to help him out and make sure the content about him on English Wikipedia is as accurate and up-to-date as possible. If that is the case, then that's OK since there's no English Wikipedia policy expressly prohibiting you from doing so. Such editing is, however, highly discouraged by the English Wikipedia community because it can sometimes lead to other, sometimes quite serious, problems. For this reason, it would be a really good idea for you to familiarize yourself with English Wikipedia's policies and guideline related to conflict-of-interest (COI) editing and adhere to them a closely as possible. Knowing what the English Wikipedia community expects from COI editors will reduce your chances of running into problems with others.
For reference, each local Wikimedia Foundation is a separate project for the others, and each project has its own policies, guidelines and user communities; so, while there might be lots of similarities between the English Wikipedia, Japanese Wikipedia and Commons, there could also be some important differences. For what it's worth, Commons isn't really too concerned about COI editing; it's more concern with being able to verify the licensing of the content it hosts. Japanese Wikipedia, on the other hand, may have a policies and guidelines similar to English Wikipedia's, but you should ask about this at ja:Wikipedia:井戸端 for more details. One thing that the English and Japanese Wikipedias have in common though is related to undisclosed paid or otherwise compenstated editing. This is because the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use does expressly prohibit such editing. You can find more information about this at Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure and ja:Wikipedia:有償の寄稿の開示. It's very important you comply with relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines with respect to such contributions (if that's what you've been doing) because those who fail to do so almost always have their accounts blocked by a Wikipedia administrator. Please note that Commons, like in the case of COI-editing, isn't too concerned with this type of thing, but the English and Japanese Wikipedias are.
If you have any questions about any of the above, you can ask them here, Wikipedia:Help desk or Wikipedia:Teahouse. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:08, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
There is no paid relationship between the 2 accounts. I am a fan of sports (in particular martial arts and judo) and this sports figure is interesting to me. I have conducted research on this person and his career.
Bunasawa does have contact information available online. As a fan, I have contacted him and asked him to upload some of the pictures from his personal photo collection, and his assistant has done so.
I plan to create a few other judo and biographies on lesser known sports figures but am using updating the Nori Bunasawa page for more experience before creating other pages. DN27ND (talk) 22:58, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

There is no COI. I sent Bunasawa a copy of the draft to verify some of the information (like the sequence of events, and people's names) and perhaps his team jumped the gun. The subject of the article is notable and here is the evidence:

Hi Star Mississippi. Just an FYI that this user appears to have somehow evaded your partial block of them and recreated the page Nori Bunasawa. I went ahead and deleted it as WP:G4, and I also started a discussion at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#Partially blocked user still able to edit page? to examine the technical reason for being able to evade the block. But anyway, since they are block evading, you may want to consider an additional sanction. Thanks. –Novem Linguae (talk) 07:43, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
