Grady Nutt article

edit

Osiyo!

I don't know if you are currently watching the Grady Nutt article, and I didn't think to notify you at the time, but the article was a "Did You Know...?" featured article on Feb. 8. Thanks for starting it!

Dripping Springs Falls

edit

I moved Dripping Springs Falls, which you created, to Natural Falls State Park, as I couldn't find a citation for the original title. I hope the changes meet with your approval. - Fayenatic (talk) 18:57, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Closure of Cherokee Wikipedia

Please take a look at this. As an editor of that wiki, I think you might be willing to take a look at it. --OosWesThoesBes (talk) 13:46, 18 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:GGwheeloffortune.png)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:GGwheeloffortune.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:51, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Culture areas of the Americas

edit

I proposed that this article be merged with Classification of indigenous peoples of the Americas. See comment on the latter's talk page. --Kevlar (talkcontribs) 04:39, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Harpa stub, Harpa cabriti

edit

I am part of WikiProject Gastropods and I wanted to say thank you for starting a new gastropod stub. Just now I tried to fix it up as best as I could, at least for the time being. The Latin name of this snail has been changed, the taxonomy has been updated, and also the illustration you provided showed another different but similar-looking species, so all in all the stub looks quite different now. I wonder, do you perhaps have a particular interest in snails? Or was it just that particular one that appealed to you? Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 19:47, 17 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Gameboylr.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Gameboylr.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 06:23, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Bones (instrument), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page European (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:Segasupercolumnscartart.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Segasupercolumnscartart.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
