Welcome to Wikipedia!
I'm Paine Ellsworth, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge. Although you're free to perform most tasks on Wikipedia without registering, it's highly recommended you create an account as there are many added benefits. There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. If you register an account, you can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you could put a link to it on your user page.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your IP address linked to your contributions page (however, if you create an account, your IP address will be hidden and you will be able to build a custom signature that can link to your own user page), a link to this IP's talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Two drafts...
Reviewer will Accept, Decline or Reject the draft. If accepted, it becomes an article. If Declined, reasons will be stated about what to fix. David notMD (talk) 14:55, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
The Teahouse
editHi. On the talk page of one of your previous IPs, I said the following, a couple of days ago:
Please do not tell new editors that they always have to use British English in articles, because that's not true (here is more information).
I am guessing that you never saw that, since you just added this advice at the Teahouse. Your willingness to help is appreciated, but please avoid giving advice to other new editors, because it is easy to get things wrong when you haven't yet learnt many of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 12:51, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: Kothadi has been accepted
editCongratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.
You may wish to consider registering an account so you can create articles yourself.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.
If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider
.Thanks again, and happy editing!
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Ghodasgaon, Jalgaon District a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Draft:Ghodasgaon (District - Jalgaon). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
