Date of establishment of the museum
editI have tried to Google when the Writers' Museum was set up, but have failed. From memory it was in the 1990s. Can anybody provide a ref? Mais oui! (talk) 04:43, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Mais oui!:. Surely it was the Writers' Museum long before the 1990s. I'm pretty sure it dates back to at least the early 1980s, and probably earlier still. I'll do some digging, and report back if I find anything. Mike Marchmont (talk) 19:05, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
- Just to add to the above: According to Edinburgh, an illustrated architectural guide, the house is "now a Literary Museum to Scott, Burns and Stevenson".[1] That was published in 1983, so the museum must be earlier than at least that date. Mike Marchmont (talk) 08:32, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
