I would like to edit the Steven Universe Movie page by adding a characters section, explaining their past, powers, personalities and appearances. Seeing as the movie is fairly new, there are almost no websites to find information about Spinel, and as such, I request edit access so I can create information about Spinel, such as her history, appearance, personality, and gem ability. 70.173.21.155 (talk) 07:04, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
- List of Steven Universe characters already exists, and there's a hatnote link to it from the cast list section of this article. All of that information can be found there. AJD (talk) 15:01, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
- Note: Closing as Not done per the above. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 18:09, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

I would encourage changing the descriptive term "Broadway-style" to "Takarazuka Revue-style" in the final sentence of the movie Plot section. I believe this more accurately describes the scene, acknowledges the influence of the Revue (mentioned by Rebecca Sugar herself), and helps combat accidental white-washing and misinterpretations. Additionally, hyperlinking the words "Takarazuka Revue" to the corresponding English Wiki page would be helpful. 240F:9A:4162:1:B12F:4E06:112B:D466 (talk) 14:46, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Can you provide links to Ms Sugar mentioning this so that it can be appropriately referenced?--Mr Fink (talk) 15:06, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Takarazuka Revue is mentioned as an influence on the movie in this interview, though not specifically on the end sequence: "It’s also influenced by the stage musicals that changed my life, like the Broadway runs of “Sweeney Todd” and “Gypsy,” which both featured Patti LuPone [who has a recurring role on the animated show], and the Takarazuka Revue performance of “Guys and Dolls,” which heavily influenced the Steven movie." (This is a tad original research, but I think the IP may be referring to the similarity between the set and costumes for the film's finale and Takarazuka's typical finales (i.e. like Takarazuka's Guys and Dolls finale, for instance).) Having a hard time finding a reliable source for a one-to-one "yes, this is a reference to that" statement, though. - Purplewowies (talk) 18:04, 14 October 2019 (UTC)

editThe 5th entry in the Cast section reads as "Sarah Stiles as Spinel, the former playmate of Pink Diamond, Steven's late mother. She is drawn in a "rubber-house" style of 1930s animation and originally had a childlike personality before becoming vengeful about Pink Diamond abandoning her."
The phrase "Rubber-house" Should read as "Rubber-Hose", as per the article it is linked to.
Thanks!
Split soundtrack into its own article

The soundtrack is notable enough in its own right to pass WP:GNG and WP:NALBUM to have its own article. Any second opinions? Aspects (talk) 02:53, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
- It would make sense to split it off into its own article, sure. --Historyday01 (talk) 17:14, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Is anyone working on the Soundtrack article now? Just would like to know! Colathewikian (talk) 01:58, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Aspects: Are you still interested in splitting the soundtrack off into it's own article? The non-free issues which led to the album's cover art being prodded for deletion are still in play as long as the file is being used in Steven Universe: The Movie#Music. You de-prodded the file in good faith because you wanted to create a stand-alone article for the album. That's fine, if that's the plan; otherwise, the file is likely going to end up being removed from this article via WP:FFD. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:28, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- Is there substantial information that's not in the article right now that could expand a standalone soundtrack album article? Right now the page is only 10KB. I don't see much point in turning one bare-bones article into two. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs talk 00:14, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
- Don't split as the current article at 35KB is not too long, the music section is not WP:UNDUE, and (unless somebody answers Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs' question with, "oh, yes! Lots!") then the soundtrack article would be rather empty and dull. It's mostly just track listings, with a short paragraph about its success. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 10:40, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
