So it’s an “intervention” when it’s a US ally but an invasion when it’s Russia 🤣 2001:8003:E804:C700:D4B9:3D6F:28BF:354A (talk) 22:27, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not quite - its an intervention when a foreign power enters a civil war. Yemen was in a civil war before the intervention, Ukraine was not.
(There is a fairly obvious rebuttal to this with "Ukraine has been in a civil war since 2014" - I wouldn't count that as a civil war and instead an insurgency, since the Donbass states didn't have a reliable claim to legitimacy.) Couruu (talk) 10:46, 27 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Do you realize that it was a civil war in eastern Ukraine before February 2022 between the Kiev government military and "separatist" Donbas militias, and then Russian the foreign power entered that civil war? By your terminology that's invervention. 2001:4C4E:2481:EF00:C2E0:9814:1AA0:16C5 (talk) 10:36, 13 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Citation for Sudan's contribution

edit

Please cite this for the 4 Sudan warplanes in the infobox, which is tagged. I can't edit the infobox for some reason.

In this context, the Saudi-led coalition's military intervention in Yemen emerged. Saudi Arabia, with 100 aircraft, some naval units and 150,000 troops, is doing the bulk of the work. The United Arab Emirates is a distant second, with 30 jets, even though it has developed a sophisticated defense establishment and engaged in action in Libya and Syria. Kuwait and Bahrain have contributed 15 and 12 aircraft, respectively, while Qatar has committed 10 warplanes. Jordan and Morocco reportedly have provided six jets each while Sudan sent four warplanes, though it is unclear if they have conducted airstrikes and if so how many. 2603:8080:2C00:E3D2:E0B5:2A43:3D6A:6FC4 (talk) 18:09, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Al-Qaeda Alleged support

edit

We should remove the Alleged support of Al-Qaeda part. It's just saying that someone accused another country of supporting Al-Qaeda, in addition, info-box rules, supported by portions should not always be used. LuxembourgLover (talk) 22:54, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. The sources also don't claim "support" but oppertunistic deals. 5.133.46.14 (talk) 01:38, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. This should be trashed. -KINGDOOKIEYEAH — Preceding unsigned comment added by KINGDOOKIEYEAH (talkcontribs) 01:40, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
