Occupation dispute
editSo does she have a notable career as a Japanese idol or not? I believe she has, given that she was part of an idol group called Hop Group before she became a Super Sentai (Power Ranger), which is her most notable acting gig by far. Shortly afterwards, she released two solo videos and associated photobooks, and has released calendars annually since. The IP disagrees with this and has consistently tried to revert or remove this information from the occupation. The article now has an Expand Japanese tag. It would be appreciated if someone could help translate and bring over some more biographical information from the JA Wikipedia article to help settle this. - Even if it's not explicitly stated, she clearly has done idol work. Enough to have made her a full time idol? I'm not interested in idols enough to know. However it's right there in front of us and sourced so I don't see a case to answer. The IP seems to have an obsession with only allowing information that is on the JA articles, which I suggest is rather misguided and put down to not being experienced in editing.SephyTheThird (talk) 13:15, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- Well the compromise option is to keep her infobox occupation solely as actress, her primary Wikipedia-notable occupation. Voice actress is a subset of that. She does have a significant career doing voice-over but still has plenty of on-screen roles, so actress takes precedence. Yes, she's done modeling and idoling stuff, and yes, she's even sang on some songs that have charted on Oricon. She's even been a recurring television personality for a number of years, but it's mostly in the context of her being primarily an actress. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:08, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
