editThis is a meaningless weaselly expression that keeps popping up all over the place in art articles.
Who is it that does this considering?
It is much better to state that the thing "is" an example, and give it a reference.
The other way around this is to state: "Such and such cites it as an example of....."
This "it is considered...." is particularly inappropriate when followed by "famous" or "most famous of So-on's works" . This is an "is" or "isn't" case. If a thing is famous, then the people who consider it "famous" are exactly the same set of people who 'know" the work, and therefore make it famous.
I know this "considered" word is being used to avoid the challenge "that's only an opinion". But if the fact is well referenced then it isn't just an opinion. When it comes to an art work, it's a matter of finding reputable authors who agree. Amandajm (talk) 01:13, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
