Roger,
I advise you to read my New Yorker article on Gregory Scarpa and the FBI ("The G-Man and the Hit Man," New Yorker, December 16, 1996). Try this link:
http://www.newyorker.com/archive/1996/12/16/1996_12_16_068_TNY_CARDS_000377271
You relied too heavily on Sandra Harmon's book, which is based almost entirely on the accounts of two people, one a multiple murderer, the other a proven liar. Errors and lies abound. The section on Mississippi, for instance, is way off base. If you read my article, you will see that Scarpa's interrogation of Lawrence Byrd was in relation to the 1966 Klan murder of Vernon Dahmer, not the 1964 MIBURN case. Lawrence Byrd was not a defendant in MIBURN, a fact that Ms. Harmon could easily have ascertained, if she had take the trouble to do even the most cursory research.

His son, Gregory Scarpa, Jr.
editCan somebody put in some info on his son Greg Scarpa Jr? Junior is now in prison and being housed in the ADX Supermax in Florence, Colorado. I wonder why he is there. There used to be a page on Junior, but some idiot busybody deleted it. Thanks in advance to anybody who knows.
- I don't know either but I recently saw old photos where he is with a young girl who looks similar to him. Perhaps may be his daughter. Either way if true that he had kids, that should be mentioned on the main page. 2A02:8388:1602:6D80:FA9F:8D5F:B40F:A65A (talk) 02:40, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

editThe book CONVICTIONS by John Kroger has a long chapter about the trial of Scarpa Jr., After sentencing, he was sent to the "Alcatraz of the Rockies" in Florence CO.
A fairly interesting book. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Kroger

Larry Mazza & Linda Schiro
editI came to this Wikipedia article to read about Larry Mazza having sex with Linda Schiro with Scarpa's approval (this is widely known and has been written about many times) but found nothing. Any reason for that? Thanks in advance.Betathetapi545 (talk) 21:54, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
