Merge proposal
editThere's a June 2017 proposal for a merge between Dhanu (month) and Dhanurmas, but with no case made on the talk page. In the edit histories we have:
- 22:11, 12 June 2017 Uanfala (talk | contribs) . . (3,089 bytes) +25 . . (proposing merge with Dhanurmas)
- 20:55, 17 October 2018 Klbrain This month is in the Malayalam calendar rather than the Hindu calendar
- 23:29, 14 December 2018 Uanfala I don't see why anyone would need a dedicated statement pointing out the obvious duplication of content (and no, we don't need a separate article about each month in every minor variant of the Hindu calendar)
I'm no expert in this field, and from the morass of content on this topic it is difficult to determine equivalence. However, I'm happy to go with the advice of those with more expertise. Given this, any objections to the merge? Klbrain (talk) 09:31, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- I don't really have any expertise here. Pinging Ms Sarah Welch, who has been involved in this topic area recently. – Uanfala (talk) 15:20, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Uanfala and Klbrain: Support merging these two, and any other wiki article for the same Indian subcontinent lunisolar calendar into one. Salt the redirects if that is technically possible. While at it, please remove all non-RS sourced, and unsourced blogging in these and any similar articles you find. Ms Sarah Welch (talk) 01:42, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
- Done, although it might need further trimming. I've removed some material that was referenced only by a blog, but there is more material which would benefit from closer referencing. Klbrain (talk) 07:53, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

Merger complete.
