The following is the individual results for the 2021 Canadian federal election. Following the 2019 election a minority government was formed, increasing the likelihood of an early election call.[1][2]

Candidates could begin registering with Elections Canada on 17 August; registration closed at 2 p.m. local time on 30 August.[3] The official list of candidates was available on 1 September.
Deputy returning officers report their results to the returning office by phone on election night, then submit written statements. Special ballots (including but not limited to mail-in voting) are counted at each district's returning office beginning the day after the election.[4] Returning officers have seven days to validate the written statement of the deputy returning officer for each poll; most ridings are validated within a week of voting but ridings with remote communities often take longer, with Nunavut taking 17 days in 2021. Six days after completing the validations, the returning officer declares the winner by signing and returning the writ to the Chief Electoral Officer. Ridings undergoing a judicial recount are not subject to the six-day time limit for returning the writ.[5]

Notes
edit- ^ Shortly after the election the party changed its name to CFF - Direct Democracy Party.
- ^ No Affiliation is used by Elections Canada when a candidate leaves the Party Affiliation entry blank on his or her registration; this is generally done by candidates from registered parties who have been ejected and candidates from parties that have never been registered.
- ^ a b c d e Candidate stopped campaigning or was disavowed by party after candidate registration ended and remained on ballot.[8][9][10]
- ^ Troy Myers registered as Conservative candidate in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour but withdrew before the registration period ended to deal with a criminal allegation.[11]
- ^ Atwin was announced as the Green candidate in April but crossed the floor to the Liberals in June.[14]
- ^ Vuong has announced he will sit as an Independent when parliament convenes.[24] Because he was on the ballot as a Liberal, he's still treated as a Liberal here.
