Permission and US copyright
editI followed the link given to the US copyright tags, but none seemed that suitable. If the image has been identified as: "free of known restrictions under copyright law, including all related and neighboring rights", why is any statement regarding copyright required? I would understand that the onus is on the person who feels a right that they hold has been infringed to prove both this and that they have suffered material damage of some kind as a result, as in other areas of law. Adding a title to the image stating authorship and date would then be enough. For/excluding which jurisdictions though I don't know how to assess. Is this the country the work is to be published/hosted in? LookingGlass (talk) 14:06, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
