Description
English: The Swamp Ghost is a Boeing B-17E Flying Fortress that ditched in a swamp on Papua New Guinea inFebruary 1942. It was rediscovered in 1972, and brought to the United States in 2010. It was move to the Pacific Aviation Museum in Pearl Harbor in April 2013. This photograph shows Swamp Ghost in Hangar 79 on Ford Island of Pearl Harbor, undergoing restoration in October 2015.
