Heritage Auctions claimed in 2014 that the dog Luke pictured here "co-starred with Arbuckle" in many "short comedies". HA: " Acquired by Debbie Reynolds in the early 1970s directly from Minta Durfee". "Butcher-board mounted as originally created, in what is presumed to be its original period bronze-gilted wood frame".
