Descriptions

English: The radio beacons of localization of disasters (RLS) EPIRB emit on 406 MHz and 121,500 MHz with an endurance of 100 H with +20°C and an endurance of 40 H with -40°C.

a radio beacon has a power ranging between 3 W and 7 W on tape 406 to 406,1 digital MHz in transmission coded of the one 440 ms duration MMSI all the 50 s. A radio beacon has a power ranging between 0,025 W and 0,1 W out of 121,500 MHz. The Amplitude modulation emitted on this frequency corresponds to a sweeping of more than 700 Hz between 300 Hz and 1 600 Hz.

The radio beacons of edge are also indicated by term ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitters). They emit on:

  • band 406 to 406,1 MHz, for indication and the répérage by Cospas-Sarsat satellite;
  • band 406 to 406,1 MHz and 121,500 MHz;
  • 243,000 MHz, military version.
  • The emission on frequencies 121,500 MHz, 243,000 MHz, requires a radiogoniometric location by the teams of research on the ground.

  • La bande 406 à 406,1 MHz, pour la signalisation et le répérage par satellite Cospas-Sarsat ;
  • La bande 406 à 406,1 MHz et 121,500 MHz;
  • 243,000 MHz, version militaire.
