English: God's Providence House, Watergate Street The building takes its name from the inscription "God's Providence is mine Inheritance". It is reputed to be the only building in Chester untouched by the plague, but this may not be unconnected with the fact that it was built in 1652 and the last outbreak of plague was in 1648. A Row runs through it.
