National Association clubs
edit25 clubs fielded 50 teams in the five National Association (NAPBBP or NA) seasons. Six of the 25 clubs became six of eight charter members of the NL and the other 19 are not recognized as major by MLB.
- At the moment, among the six charter NL members from the NA: two are not defunct (Boston->Atlanta and Chicago); the other four do have ordinary team article/stubs in this Category:Defunct Major League Baseball teams (Athletic, Mutual, Hartford, and St. Louis Brown Stockings).
- See Category talk:Defunct baseball teams for update on the other 19 NA clubs.
- Re the two charter NL member not from the NA, the Louisville Grays article is categorized here and there is no Cincinnati article (Cincinnati Red Stockings (1876-1880)). --P64 03:35, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

- No response for 4+ years. Adding Expos. -- Michael Scott Cuthbert (talk) 01:02, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- It's because they are not defunct. They moved to Washington D. C. JOJ Hutton 01:19, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
