Schools
editThe district has a number of Elementary/Junior schools located in more remote rural areas.[4] These allow learners to continue to study close to their homes. They cater for students in grades 8 and 9, with the opportunity to include grade 10 learners if demand exists.[4]
School enrollment varies between very low numbers - as low as 15 students enrolled at some of the more remote elementary schools in September 2020[6] - to over 800 students at Columneetza Secondary School and Lake City Secondary.[6]
