Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2021 November 22

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Pppery (talk | contribs) at 05:11, 24 November 2021 (Rm own dup vote). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Both are just like the J.C.Staff video games template nominated below. J.C.Staff, Madhouse, and Toei Animation are not game developers or publishers, but animation studios that have done artwork for game studios and their games. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 23:03, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All unused and redundant as either the article for these train routes already have the route listed or the respective articles don't exist. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 22:06, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About the Angel Road–Enfield Town line: There has been some discussion about how we organise the Lea Valley lines and this template was a byproduct of it. I didn't really pursue this topic lately so I would like to move the template to my userspace because we may need it in the future. --PhiH (talk) 10:55, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unused and redundant in comparison to Template:Zamalek SC active sections. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 21:42, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unused and no articles exist for the teams as they were redirected per an Afd for each of them. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 21:31, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unused team bracket. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 21:25, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unused sports match box template. Last edited 2019. User:GKFXtalk 21:17, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A welcome template that is no longer used. Did Q28 make a mess today? 10:24, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

This template produces broken links that seem not to be saved in the Internet Archive. The Chinese Wikipedia version (at zh:Template:PRC_admin/ref_stats.gov.cn) seems to have given up on the 2011 statistics and moved on to 2020. At least one article is citing the 2020 statistics with a plain {{cite web}} (Shuangta Subdistrict, Suzhou). That seems less error-prone: about half of the few articles I checked are using the template incorrectly, passing numbers to it with slashes when the template does not expect slashes. In a brief experiment, it seems that the codes passed to this template cannot be re-used against the 2020 website, so I'm uncertain what can be salvaged from it or if it should just be removed. Pinging User:Vikarna who says on the talk page they looked into it in case they have any insight. User:GKFXtalk 18:33, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Last edited 2012, seems to have been part of efforts to display open access icons (sample output  ). These are now available as part of the normal citation system, and this template is unused outside of its author's sandboxes. User:GKFXtalk 18:00, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Template links to only two articles; does not meet guidelines at MOS:FILM#Navigation. DoubleCross () 17:43, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This template was created today, but all the information it contains is already in either Template:Chinese elections (1912–49) or Template:Taiwanese elections. In general, I believe we treat the pre-1949 ROC government as a different entity from the modern government of Taiwan, and I don't see the value of a unified template which is on all the same articles as the above two templates.  — Amakuru (talk) 11:28, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Used only in one category. There is no reason to keep it as a template and it should be subst to that category and deleted. Gonnym (talk) 10:23, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If no one uses it, it will probably not continue to use it. Did Q28 make a mess today? 09:07, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No one uses it. ` Did Q28 make a mess today? 09:05, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, that's out of date. Did Q28 make a mess today? 08:51, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nomination. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 15:53, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as unused and last edited 2009. User:GKFXtalk 21:35, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as unused. Being merely out of date is not a valid reason to delete something. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:25, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like a comment. Maybe it needs to move. Did Q28 make a mess today? 08:50, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I still don't understand what this template is for. Did Q28 make a mess today? 08:49, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Obsolete because no one is using it. Did Q28 make a mess today? 08:47, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No use. Well, that's all I can think of. Did Q28 make a mess today? 08:47, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if I need to delete it. Did Q28 make a mess today? 08:44, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not used, and probably too little for a navigation template. Did Q28 make a mess today? 08:43, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand what he's doing. Delete it. Did Q28 make a mess today? 08:43, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Abandoned experiment from 2011. Never substed, apparently, and no transclusions. – Jonesey95 (talk) 07:10, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Empty, untranscluded template for defunct club. No "current roster" is possible, since the club does not exist anymore. – Jonesey95 (talk) 06:54, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unused. No links, no transclusions. Redundant to the better documented {{cross}}:  N. – Jonesey95 (talk) 06:47, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yet another unused tracklist template Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 04:47, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

J.C. Staff is not a game developer or publisher, but an animation studio that has done artwork on contract for many game studios and their games. This list has been compiled by original research on a game-by-game basis. I cannot find sources that discuss these games "as a set". As a strong relationship between these games is not established in reliable sources, it violates WP:NAV. TarkusABtalk/contrib 02:18, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All should be substituted directly on the articles for the individual election results as that is the more relevant space and be removed from the Results of the 1917 Russian Constituent Assembly election. All the information belongs as part of the article and not on a separate space as this is really article content and should be treated as such. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 01:47, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
