I fleshed this entry out quite a bit, based on an interview in the July 2000 issue of The Wire magazine. I think more work is needed on the discography. Cnwb

I've added the fact that Genesis P-Orridge produced Seven Songs, which I found out last night. Cnwb 22:08, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Discography

The Discography as I discovered it this morning loooks like bollocks. I've amended it to bring it inline with the second paragraph and AllMusic's view [1], but there are some albums not listed on Allmusic. Ah. Unless one looks at the list of compilations. As you were; all (hopefully) fixed now, except * Dawning (2000) which I removed altogether as it was not listed on AllMusic ... someone with more knowledge may want to reinsert it. --Tagishsimon (talk)

According to http://www.discogs.com/artist/23+Skidoo "Dawning" was a promo only, and as such, probably shouldn't be listed. 22:11, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

23 Skidoo and 23 skidoo

These two pages are a nightmare to distinguish! Can someone who knows how distinguish in the header and create a disambiguation page?

David Tibet

Mind you, I am not a fanboy, but shouldn't it be mentioned that David Tibet was part of this band back in the day? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bryanbabylon (talkcontribs) 22:16, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Name.

The term 23 Skidoo has been around since the 1920's it was popular in the US in the 1930's and 40, it means to leave whilst the going is good, similar to the contemporary British saying 'offski' IE, 'Let's do an offski'. So Saying that 'The group was named after a mysterious Illuminati phrase that appeared in the work of Aleister Crowley, William S. Burroughs, and filmmaker Julian Biggs' is a bit like saying that, the artisans who work with wood are named after the 1970's brother sister close harmony act The Carpenters. It may be that, Borroughs and Crowley picked up on the phrase and attempted to attach mystical meaning to it, but I think it's far from fair to say that that's what it means, Grandpa Simpson has said 23 skidoo more than a couple of times in the long running animated sitcom The Simpsons, but it would be stretching it a bit if you were to say that the group was named after a saying the Grandpa Simpson uses, who know the Senior male Simpson maybe a Crowley or Burroughs fan, or even a fan on British industrial, post-punk, alternative dance, rock, and world music fusion band 23 Skidoo.
