This fascinating ring is actually made from two separate components. The top part, a marquise-shaped hollow "pillow" of 14K yellow gold, was originally (I think) part of an antique stick pin, and the bottom part is a vintage 10K, 3-stone ring, minus the stones, that was soldered onto it. As weird as this sounds, the whole thing works. The top is decorated with beautiful hand-engraved initials. This is the kind of engraving you just can't get anymore without spending a small fortune…
